Absolutely beautiful kit.. can I ask, do you have any clips of the kit tuned at a lower pitch? I love the sound/ deep tone of the bass drum in both videos so would love to hear the toms a bit lower with it. Other then that.. I am a massive fan and thanks to you, have started building my own stave snares...
Just jamming a sorta samba type groove. The hands are playing a linear pattern, in other words right and left hands don't play two notes at the same time, between ride cymbal and snare / toms. The sticking is something like this: r rlrrllrlrlrlrl. The orchestration is as follows: ride, ride, snare, ride ride, tom, tom, ride, snare, ride, snare, snare, tom, floor, floor, then repeat, so the right hand stays on the ride cymbal for most of the pattern, just switching to the snare and floor tom at the end. The feet are just playing bass, hi-hat, bass, hi-hat. I've put all this into groove scribe on Mike Johnson's website for you, here is the link: gscribe.com/share/wr7xfZk3YesjDSoW9

Is there a specific sticking pattern at 2:05 or you just jamming one out? Love that vibe and the one after - nice!
