Thank you so much, Cathy. I need to get busy and dye some more fabric. I have new charts that need some. And aren't Kathy's patriotic things gorgeous? Just wowed by them. Thanks for watching and the sweet comment.
You ladies are phenomenal!! It is so wonderful to see all the joy you show when showing fabric, patterns and the excitement of your wanting to work on a project. I am so happy when you film a new video. THANK YOU!

Hi Ladies! I just love your flosstube! The papercraft and cross stitch combo is so great. I lived in El Paso for 6 years (1994-1999). I lived on the west side, but frequently travelled to Yarborough blvd to "The Counted Thread" cross stitch shop (I don't think it exists anymore). I had so many friends in cross stitch. I also did finishing for the store (a lot of stand-up Santa's). You remind me of a great time in my life. My kids also loved El Paso. Molly - your cross stitch projects are so wonderful. It's hard to believe you are a beginner. Kathy, I love samplers and stitch at least one every year- you inspired me!
I just love your videos....you make me smile just watching the two of you together. I've not used Threadworx threads but have heard nothing but good about them. Thanks for sharing your amazing art with us.
You are so welcome! I have had several viewers tell me they use Threadworx and love them. So of course, I placed an order for them. The colors just look so pretty. Thanks so much for watching and the sweet comment.
Fanny’s Flowers reminded me of one of our children’s books - Miss Fannie’s Hat by Jan Karon. If you have grandkids, or not, this is the most precious book. Trust me, flowers do play a great part of the book. Thank you for your videos. I so enjoy them.
Thank you, Kristine, for the great tip. I am definitely going to have to look up that book. Sounds wonderful. Thank you so much for watching and the sweet comment.
Hi there, just discovered your floss tube after Carol, salt box stitcher mentioned you. Imagine how happy I was to discover the love divine sampler. I did what you did and chose my own thread and fabric. Gave it to my husband for Valentine’s Day. Still need to get it framed. I. Have 2 pieces at total framing and when they come back I will send 2 more. I’m going to back watch the rest of your you tubes. Keep up the good work. Have fun at the Attic, I’m off to Country sampler for there retreat. Xoxo
Wow!! Lots of eye candy!!Beautiful stitching and finishing. Love your fabric dyeing Molly!! 😻. Thank you for sharing your talents, you two are delightful to listen to ...
Kathy & Molly you are such a delight to watch. Thank you for sharing with us all your pieces. Your enthusiasm is contagious. I too am a magnanimous stitcher and quilter.
Another great video ladies! What a blessing to have a crafting friends as your next door neighbor! Molly, I love your dyed Aida fabrics. They are beautiful!! Please give us a tutorial of your dying technique. Since fabrics are so hard to come by, I would love to dye more of my own. Kathy, I LOVE your patriotic box. I am stitching In Fully Glory as I was watching your video and I love how you have it propped up in the box. I also have the BBD flag pattern as well, so I may have to copy., Blessings to you both!
Marva, thank you so much for the great and sweet comment. Kathy says she will film me dying fabric, it is so super easy. And isn't here treasure box of patriotic things so pretty. Thank you so much for watching.
Great videos…I have watched all but first time I got to comment. Beautiful work both of you. I know Kathy from the needlework shop days in Wisconsin. I used to come there all the tim with my 2 girls who tried to get the kitty all the time! I’m still in Wisconsin now in central Wisconsin…near la crosse. No close shoppes but I can get to country sampler in about 1 1/2 hours! I love all your patriotic stitching KATHY. Can’t wait to see more! Molly you will need to teach us how to dye fabric!
Another delightful floss tube, thank you. I have stitched with Threadworkx overdyed fibers for many years, initially for needlepoint and more recently cross stitch. Fantastic colors and Twisted Stitches in Albuquerque carries the full line. I lived in Albuquerque for many years and one of the first retreats I went to was sponsored by the then LYS inEl Paso.
Oh my gosh, thank you Barbara. I did place an order for Threadworx from 123stitch and it is supposed to be delivered tomorrow. I can't wait to see the colors in person. Albuquerque is closer than Phoenix to us, so I think a trip is definitely in the near future. Thank your for watching and the great comment!
@@linenandscraps4821 Twistedstitchesnp in Albuquerque has one of the best thread selections around, so I hope you enjoy a field trip up there. There is also a cross stitch shop, TheStitcher’s Garden.
Goodness, so much fun and creativity! Thank you both - and thank you for saying something about #4, lol..... I searched for it a good bit before watching #5, lol.... too funny. Looking forward to next video.
Hi guys, this is the subscriber from Louisiana. I decided to go back and watch your videos from day one. I'm glad I did. Both of you are a joy and balance each other. .Molly your love and friendship for Kathy is contagious and you're always talking about how beautiful her work is. No jealousy at all. But guess what Molly your stitching is beautiful as well. I love it all. Kathy is watching you and pulling from your energy. So slow down "statemate" and let her love on you as much as you love her. I wish I had a friend that's close like the two of you are. Love you guys and I'm glad I subscribed to your channel.
So happy to have found your channel; recommended by Saltbox Stitcher. My dad lived in Las Cruces for a number of years. Loved, loved that restaurant you mentioned. I think the Gadsden Puchase was signed there. Some of my favorite jewelry was purchased in Las Cruces or Mesilla! The Harrison sampler in 1841 was probably for Wm. Henry Harrison, elected in 1840, but president for just a short time. (You can probably tell I taught American History for years…)
Ohhhh my gosh! We have so many loves in common! Tons of history down and around here. Mesilla is my favorite place to go to for fun shopping, and the history within the center of Mesilla… The little Harrison sampler is very sweet. Hard to imagine how one so little stitched in those days. I do often wonder!
Wow I absolutely love your bunny flat fold with the wooden paper on the back! Brilliant. I have a small stash of paper so now you have me thinking… So glad I found you ladies!
Molly your dyed fabric is gorgeous!!! Oh my..... You both really exude your happiness of being together with all of us. Thank you for that! Keep up the good work!
I am another of Carol's of Saltbox Stitcher fans and I love what you two are doing together. Thank you so much for showing the beautiful samplers and the tutorial was the best. So many great and wonderful ideas, I am now going to have to live another 70+ years to finish everything that I want!! Good thing my daughter is a stitcher, because I have so much crafting and sewing supplies that I could open a store! We get together once a week and stitch together (and sometimes shop for all the goodies that we cannot live without0 LOL. I can not find # 4, so maybe it is mis-numbered, but it doesn't matter, I love them all. Sending love and hugs from Arizona.
Mary, I know just what you mean about outliving my stash. I had some crafty friends come over today, while Kathy is away on a shopping trip to the Attic, and my husband teased them about my craft room looking like a store. And I love it all. teeheehee...thank you so much for watching and the great comment.
Just found you and enjoyed video so much. Looking forward to tutorial. So fun to watch you. I did Molly’s (BB) bird motif last month for a little hoop finish. Love it!
Another wonderful video! Molly your dyed fabrics are beautiful. Kathy, your patriotic stitches are great, I really love that box! And I love the paper crafting tied in. I really look forward to your videos, thank you for sharing.
You are so welcome! I am enjoying so much watching Kathy "discover" paper crafting while I am reconnecting with cross stitching. Thank you so much for watching.
You scored with getting some Colour and Cotton linen, Molly and congrats on finishing your first Blackbird Design-very beautiful work-My husband was in Scottsdale and 14 minutes from the Attic so I called Caroline and gave her my list-he was so relieved when he showed up and he only had to pay ❤️ Caroline and Barb we fabulous ❤️. Kathy, your stitching is breathtaking - I just love you two-you just get better-your talents work off each other-Molly, you’re fabric dying skills are up there! Great results! You go all in-I need some of whatever you have❤️
First time viewer. So glad I tuned in...can't go wrong when Saltbox Stitcher or Brenda n Laura recommend a channel. You two are a delight! I enjoyed seeing cross stitch combined with paper. And, it was nice to see some samplers and stitches that weren't what everyone else is stitching. Keep showing us your goodies. I'm off to watch episodes 1-4 !
Thank you so much Susan, for watching and the great comment. I have watched hours and hours of those 3 and just love every minute of it. Again, thank you.
I am so happy to have found you through Brenda and the Serial Starter. I'm caught up on your videos. It's so fun to see the difference in your styles because I get ideas from both of you. Kathy, your patriotic box is inspiring. I'm thinking that it would be fun to do a patriotic version and maybe a Christmas box, too. Molly, you are a master already with dyeing your fabric. Thank you for sharing your lives and talent!
Your dyed fabrics are lovely. I haven't been brave enough to try dying myself.. but I also have a fabric collection that is beyond reasonable, so I shouldn't have to buy fabric or dye my own for quite a while. My stitches go the same direction; it's the direction that made sense to my brain when I started stitching. My mom and grandmother gave me the basics when I was small, but when I started stitching again after college, I pretty much taught myself everything else.I= I've used Threadworx threads. They're nice cotton threads to work with.
Thank you for the sweet comment. Have fabulous to have a fabric stash. I am just now building one up to try to go with the charts I have accumulated. Thanks for the heads up on the Threadworx. I got an order of it in and love the colors and feel. Thanks for watching!
Y’all are adorable!!!! You tricked me with the “bread crumb container” too. I was thinking you had something fancy that I hadn’t heard of before. I cracked up. 😆 Metallic thread can make me loose my religion. I’m just South of Dallas ❤️
Really enjoying you ladies. I just stitched a small tuck using Threadworx and loved it. I love the variegation and they have soooo many choices that would be great for fall stitching. I shared it on my last Flosstube video. Thanks for all you share, Kristy.
Wonderful! I just placed my first ordered for Threadworxs...the colors look gorgeous. I'm going to head over and watch your video, now. Thanks for watching and the great comment.
Hello from NC Molly and Kathy! I have never been to Texas but if the rest of Texas is like you ladies, then sign me up. Your video was delightful, thank you for sharing all your beautiful pieces with us. I felt like I was visiting friends.
Wow another great one !!! Molly your flat folds and dying are awesome. Kathy your Patriotic box - Oh My so wonderful. I must of missed your craft session now to go and watch . Enjoy the attic and all its wonder and metal working sounds like fun .
Another fun video; you two are such a joy to watch. Molly, your fabric dying is beautiful. I know how you feel with trying to catch up; I also graduated in 1974. Want to stitch so many things yet. I always enjoy watching Kathy's sampler parade and this one was especially good with the patriotic theme. 1884 Stitchery is carrying "Prize Your Liberty" in both paper and PDF form. (And they are both in my cart but we will sort that later.) Have a good trip to the Attic.
So much goodness!!!! I’m definitely going to have to watch this again and take notes!!!! Molly I love your patriotic stitching and your fabric dying! Tutorial please?! Kathy your stitching amazes me! I particularly love your Blackbird patriotic box! American Eagle is beautiful! I just love all the patriotic! What can I say-- I love everything!
Hello Molly and Kathy, it's so lovely to meet you both. I loved your video and watched a couple of past issues. I am Shirley from N.Z.Love watching flosstubers and go down lots of rabbit holes via podcasts that I watch. Loved seeing your FFO's and WIP's and kits ready to be started. I wondered if you watch Christi from "Javagirl Stitches". She does wonderful stitching (especially themes) and her finishing is fantastic. Also Kristi from "crosshatch quilts".Enjoyed your tutorial for the thread books and wondered do you make your thread drop cards, they are lovely.Look forward to seeing you both again. Take care.
Hello, Shirley. Great to meet you. I have seen Javagirl and love her finishings. I will need to look up Kristi from Crosshatch Quilts and watch her videos. Thanks for the tip. Yes, I made me and Kathy some thread drop cards using her beautiful cross stitch pcs as the artwork. I love them, but I need to make more! Thank you so much for watching and the sweet comment.
Molly, you just crack me up. I love your flat folds, wish I had one smidgen of the artistic talent of either of you. I totally agree with you on the linen. It takes me too long to make something. I like Aida and then Evenweave. I lived in TX for 20 years and it has taken me 20 years since moving out of TX to stop saying y’all. Now I’ll be saying it again! I’m not a sampler stitcher but Kathy, your work is amazing and I love that you find old frames to use. Love how you are incorporating paper in your projects. 🤣👍🤗
I know you've only done a few videos but you are DEFINITELY 2 of my very favorite flosstubers. I get so excited when I see your posts! Love how you interact with each other. Thank you for sharing!
Omg! Love your videos. My sister and I bought the fiskers finger cutters, and wonder how we ever did anything without it! Both of you stitch beautifully.
Ladies, this was another wonderful video. I just love your friendship! Here’s a suggestion for another LNS for you - try A Stitcher’s Garden in Albuquerque! It might be less than 5 hours for you. They don’t have a website, but the shop is wonderful and Laurie, the owner, is great with finishing ideas, too. She is having a sit-and-stitch retreat in October if you’re up for a road trip!
Thanks for sharing!! I' need to head that way to visit my sister in law. This gives me just the extra incentive I need to plan that trip. Thanks for watching and sharing the info about that shop. Sounds wonderful.,
Molly, I would love to see your dying technique and Kathy, I am ordering stuff to make fudge right now. I am now craving some, 😂. Great video and such fun ideas!
Molly you are rocking your stitching!!! Good job!! Love the scrapbook paper incorporating… which I have a lot of!! Can’t wait for the butter pecan fudge!! Butter pecan is my fav ice cream!
Great video you two are so perfect together! Love your frame for Hello Summer Molly it’s perfect and the price ! I’d love to have you do a dying tutorial and hoping a tutorial on the pin cushion in that dish . Congratulations on expanding your fabric choices, patterns and floss types Molly! Try it all and if you don’t like it don’t do it again. I love your style of charts you choose Molly ,I admire your samplers Kathy but I’m not there just yet! I’ll be watching for the thread bed tutorial as well, loved the floss books !
I have been sitting here trying to finish up an ornament for an exchange. I have so enjoyed this episode! That box of Patriotic stitched things and keepsakes is stunning. I need to make my own as I have many things to put inside one that would make it my own. What a wonderful idea. My husband served his country for many years, and I know that I have many patriotic items I can include with my stitching. There were many beautiful things to be seen, and your information is always helpful. So much fun! Christmas in July--I had a friend whose Christmas tree was just patriotic ornaments. Thank you, ladies, for an excellent presentation.
I try to stitch with you but your video is just too interesting and inspiring, I put two or three stitches in my sampler. Not your fault. I just enjoy seeing what your doing!!
YOU GUYS!!!!! I love your videos 😍I have stitched Prize Your Liberty too thanks to Kristy @ Daisy Kay’s Primitives (if you don’t watch her, you MUST,she’s amazing) along with Shanda Stitching in Idaho. I believe I found the pattern on 1884 Stitchery. LOVED ALL the patriotic! Can’t wait for your next video 💞
Thank you both for being so much fun to watch. I have to laugh every time you mention The Attic. The Attic is my home town needle work shop. Have been shopping on and off for over 30 years and three different locations. Enjoy you trip Kathy. Will be watching your next floss tube.
I'm so glad I found your flosstube. Molly and Kathy, your friendship is so special. Molly I laugh a lot watching you. Your facial expressions are priceless. Keep them coming!
Loved everything! Always enjoy your floss tube. I have stitched with Threadworxs and loved it. I finished a Quaker gentleman and Quaker lady by jardin prive with threadworx thread. I know you can get cotton or silk threads.
Thank you for the heads up on Threadworxs. I just placed my order, I ordered the cottons. The colors look gorgeous. Thanks so much for watching and the great comment!
Another great video! You girls are so much fun and very informative. I loved seeing everything. I have used Threadworx threads a few times and I liked it. Such pretty color and nice to stitch with. Happy stitching…………………..
I live in Odessa and the store in Lubbock doesn’t really carry crossstitch anymore sadly. They are a needlepoint store. My closest is in Comfort Tx and that is 5 hours from me.
Thank you for your floss tube , Molly your stitching is beautiful we love seeing all you create. Would love to see your dyeing method Molly . Kathy love seeing all you stitching Would love to see how you make your thread beds Enjoyed your visit. Hugs&Stitches Betsy in Maryland
Loved seeing your completed pieces ladies. Here are two popular FFO’s done in tarts: Olga’s Tart by Plum Street Samplers and Chubby Bird (a bird Molly) by Jeanette Douglas. Look them up, you’ll want them! I had forgotten Kathy said she was a twin. I had a twin. She passed 12 years ago. We did everything together from our hobbies to working together at the Post Office to our husbands being great buds. I still miss her terribly! I long for a stitch buddy that lives close, maybe someday, in the meantime I’ll keep watching Flosstubes. You guys are great and quickly becoming favored by many I can tell. 🙂🙃
I’m soooo glad you watched! I absolutely love Sarah! You will definitely see my progress on our next up and comings floss tubes. Thank You! Too I’ll show the lighter pic that comes with the pattern … might be easier to see on TV….;)

I haven't been brave enough to try dying myself.. but I also have a fabric collection that is beyond reasonable, so I shouldn't have to buy fabric or dye my own for quite a while. My stitches go the same direction; it's the direction that made sense to my brain when I started stitching. My mom and grandmother gave me the basics when I was small, but when I started stitching again after college, I pretty much taught myself everything else.I=
I've used Threadworx threads.
You were, Dolly! So happy to have a new friend from beautiful North Carolina. Thank you so much for watching and the sweet comment.
Thanks for sharing I always enjoy your videos! Your projects are beautiful!
You two are just too stinking cute!!
Really enjoy you two.
I just love you two ladies , but Molly you make me laugh , your a new stitcher , your work is just beautiful 😍
I think the patriotic angel is on perforated paper. New subbie. Love you two 😊
Welcome!!
I know you've only done a few videos but you are DEFINITELY 2 of my very favorite flosstubers. I get so excited when I see your posts! Love how you interact with each other. Thank you for sharing!
Awww! Molly makes it fun!!!
Molly I just love your enthusiasm and you make me laugh.
Omg! Love your videos. My sister and I bought the fiskers finger cutters, and wonder how we ever did anything without it! Both of you stitch beautifully.
Right?????
Great job ladies
You ladies’ excitement is infectious! Wonderful videos. ❤️
Thank you!!!!!
Sounds wonderful.,
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Molly, I would love to see your dying technique and Kathy, I am ordering stuff to make fudge right now. I am now craving some, 😂. Great video and such fun ideas!
I love watching your flosstube videos. You are great together. You have different taste but both love what the other does. Everything is beautiful.
Everything Kathy has stitched is timeless and classic, they will never go out of style! The framing couldn't be better also!
Aww thank You!!!!
Great video as usual.
I collect the old magazines too and a have found some fun patterns as well.
Thank him for me would you please? It’s become more important as I get older… you go for it!
What a wonderful video. Your Christmas in July sounds great. Look forward to seeing you more.🌻🌻🌻
Great video! Loved it all, especially the laughter!! See you next time.
Thank you both for being so much fun to watch. I have to laugh every time you mention The Attic. The Attic is my home town needle work shop. Have been shopping on and off for over 30 years and three different locations. Enjoy you trip Kathy. Will be watching your next floss tube.
I’ll have haul! Thank You!!

Spent my morning dyeing fabric…omg so much fun and wow one of a kind fabric. Thanks
You two are so much fun. All of your work is just great. Wonderful dyed fabric Molly.
Love you two! The choices for Sarah Plommer were just perfect :) I so enjoyed watching you two! Thank you very much for the shout-out!! *hugs* Birgit
I’m soooo glad you watched! I absolutely love Sarah! You will definitely see my progress on our next up and comings floss tubes. Thank You! Too I’ll show the lighter pic that comes with the pattern … might be easier to see on TV….;)
Absolutely love threadworx threads. Have done some Long Dog Samplers using them. Congrats on your channel. 😊
