I have owned Oakley and Smith sunglasses. I have also own different Tifosi glasses all with the Fototec. The optics are distortion free, the Fototec performs well. With the quality on par with the others at a fraction of a cost, Tifosi is by far the best value.
The tint color is more of a dark grey or black, it only looks blue from the outside. We have other sunglasses like the Julbo Rush which have a rose tint which really brighten everything up which is nice on overcast days.
im searching for (cycling) sunglasses who got a very good wind-protection (my eyes are wind-sensible). they should have Photochromic lenses. What pair you think should i get? any suggestions?
Any oversized pair of sunglasses should work well for you, they essentially block out all the wind due to their large size. As far as photochromic lenses I really like the Julbo Edge - they have a very wide filtering range that lets you use them in nearly any weather.
Hi, Would you also please let us know if there’s a distinct ‘click’ as you fold the temples in and out or not. Most Oakley’s performance glasses have it. Some casual ones don’t. To some (like me), it’s a deal breaker when shades doesn’t hav that click.
It does not have a click. The hinges don't really have a spring loaded design like you may be looking for - they don't really snap closed or open it's more of a friction style hinge.
Like most sunglasses there are plenty of coatings on the lenses. That doesn't mean they won't scratch if you drop them, but for normal use they've held up great.
I dont think they are the first Tifosi frameless glasses. There are the Podium XC and Tsali models that are also frameless. Although they are smaller and dont have that "shield look".
The "first frameless" claim is from Tifosi's press release but you are right - it doesn't seem to be the first from the brand. Their marketing department must be qualifying it by first "cycling" or some other specific.

Hi, what does this blue lens look like from the inside? I just bought a blue Vogel SL and it has a rose tint when I put it on.
