Hakata Dontaku 2022 [Parade May 4th]

I went to Hakata Dontaku, which is the annual holiday of the Golden Week holidays.
Please enjoy the parade on May 4th.
"Hakata Dontaku" is said to have originated from an event called "Matsubayashi" that started in 1179 at the end of the Heian period.
It's been going on for over 840 years. In the Meiji era, it came to be called "Hakata Dontaku". "Dontaku" is said to be derived from the Dutch word Zondag (meaning holiday).
Every year on May 3rd and 4th, men and women of all ages slap their clothes in their own costumes and parade through the city, performing dances on the stage and open space created in the city, and the whole town is rejuvenated. With a total of about 650 participating dontaku corps, about 33,000 participants, and about 2 million spectators, it is said to be the best festival in Japan during Golden Week in the spring. 開催一週間前に役所に問い合わせしたら、沿道で観覧はできませんといわれ、来訪は断念したのに、こんなに大勢の観光客の皆さんがいたんですね。
来年は行ってみようかなぁ(^^)

ところで、毎年、広島FFに行っていたのですが、博多どんたくには行ったことが無くて教えて頂きたいのですが…。
パレード参加団体が、かなり多いようですが、1日でパレードが終えられのでしょうか？
それとも2〜3日に分けてパレードされるのでしょうか？

博多どんたくは毎年5月3日と4日に開催されます。パレードは2日間ともあります。演舞台も市内に何ヵ所かできます。参加団体や時間場所など詳細はホームページでご確認ください。
来年楽しみですね！
