- Are your Small Cap Mutual Funds Safe?
Foreign Portfolio Investors are not very interested in the small cap segment in India and generally prefer large cap stocks. Some small cap funds may invest in small cap stocks of not very high quality. Small cap funds may have a higher allocation towards mid cap stocks and large cap stocks to protect them during a stock market slowdown. One of the ways that smallcap funds manage the liquidity risk is by holding large-cap stocks in their portfolio.

60% of my portfolio are in small and micro caps. Rest 40 in midcap. Im not afraid. All my stocks are in red. But net profit is in green except one. I have confidence in my investment. All my stocks are rightly and undervalued. If you too are confident, dont sell. My views are long term. If its yours too, stay invisted. Again when market sentiment will be green, all fiis and diis will start to buy. While you will just sit and regret. So, again, if you are confident stay invisted.

Madam Nippon, SBI, Kotak, Tata, DSP, HDFC, Axis ye sab small fund hain inhone return kaha se diye. Har fund house me Fund Manager baithe hain. Logo ko inke bare me btao inhone kaha se return dia hai. Agar inke ankade galat hain to btao. Jo log jayada Mutual fund ke bare me nhi jante ya small investors hain wo to apki baat se darr kr redeem kr lenge. Aap jimedari kyu nhi lete fir jankari dete ho to.

no problem at all, as long you have read the fundamentals correctly and checked hte charts right. Sab panic moment create karne ke liye ho raha hai. Just chill and wait. All these stocks will rise.

Sbi small cap fund is the safest of all small cap funds. They always hold on to quality small caps and hold lot of cash and treps for liquidity during redemption.
If an investor wanted to play safe why would they go for small caps, shouldn't we just go with bluechips?
Quant is more aggressive and has high risk, shouldn't we go with this?
@@aakashb101 if a small cap funds is giving 25 percent yearly returns consistently and still keeping investors safe then it's the best combo. SBI small cap funds gives peaceful sleep at night. Quant small cap doesn't. No bluechips will ever give 25 percent every year. SBI small cap funds has done that every year.
