Sort of prepared for the worst and hope for the best. At least my hen houses are connected to posts concreted in the ground now so the houses won’t move and hopefully the roofs will hold up. Good update 👍 Mandy in Devon
Can you call the next storm peter please,as i have to work in the weather,ta.ive been a yard man in the uk from 1985,seen it all,its managable, and the summers are great being outside, thats coming,so hats on,coats on,and carry on!
I'm all right, I have a coleman 444 stove, loads of petrol, 4 gallons, a 12v TV, 🙂 and 3 leasure batts, 12v LED LIGHTS, , and a duel fuel 1200w generator,, gas and petrol, one 70Lt gas bottle, and 30 tins of bacon grill, bring it one 🙂
Now an amber warning has been issued for Warwickshire. Hopefully nothing major from the wind happens hopefully because I’m low down and no where near the coast.
What is it with weather forecasts lately its like the weather people are surprised we get freezing weather and wet and windy in winter , I can remember this sort of weather back in the 60s and 70s and so on its nothing new .
Where in the video does he look surprised? He's just delivering the weather forecast. The weather does what it does and these guys let us know what's happening. No need to try and look for non-existent complications.

Absolutely amazing! There's a tiny spot just west of Manchester that doesn't go pink once. Looks like I'm being excluded from fun weather as always.
Thats probably where the strongest wind will be !! 😂
Manchester had a tornado last year.
Beware the eye of the storm!!!
:-)
You poor sausage.
It wasn't fun the storm destroyed my entire garden nearly
Appreciate the update as someone who lives in the amber zone. Thanks again for the details.
He looks like a really nice man... Kind and gentle.
You might as well put the entire country in a amber warning 😂

For every day as well

The Isle of Man seems to mysteriously be avoiding the bad weather. Maybe the 'Mooinjer veggey' (Manx Fairies) have cast a magic spell?
Nothing unusual, way back in the day we called it winter.
Yaaay colour coding with chart, awesome stuff ty :) well for the wind anyway ;)
I think it's already started. I saw a leaf fall from an acorn tree. Then, a second one. I ran to take cover and just managed to escape 😅
So where I am in the Highlands will be blowin' a hoolie. Super stuff. T-shirts & shorts then.😅😅😅
😂 am also in the Highlands, ach be but a gentle breeze up here
It's a brod brak moonlak nak t nak iyee,,
Looks like its time to batten down the budgie!🦜😂

And you live in Surrey?
Thank You Greg.
Well the southeast missed out on any snow potential.
So we will join the rest of the country in some severe gales.

Batten down the hatches.
Yes, better down the hatches another active Atlantic depression is arriving. Who'd have thought it in January?
@peterjames424 still don't want it though.
Did anyone else notice what looked like another storm on the left of the screen at 0:29 ?
Weather presenters ALWAYS stand on that side so incoming weather is obscured: it’s a government conspiracy to prevent panic 😅
I want to get some wind for the washing
Don’t think we have amber warning in wales much
I'm in central Scotland and its already blowing a hoolie and heavy rain. We're in the amber zone tomorrow too. Scottish weather at its best 😂😂
welp looks like I won't be going to work, too dangerous for me

Another storm, the last 3 ruined My greenhouse.
Remember when all we had to think about were “warm, wet winters with westerly winds”? Now we have a pink jet stream 😳
East Anglia...you never mention it yet we get the brunt
Well, the Orwell bridge will close tomorrow at 12pm for 24 hours if that helps indicate?
Remember when strong winds and gales were a normal part of winter?
Yes and wet and windy weather wasn't given a name
Weather is more violent these days than decades gone by.

No, you must be talking about recent times and it's called recency bias.

Isha 🙄
😮😮
naming gusts of winds every week lol have a day off
Remember they used to say "we are going to get a spell of wet and windy weather". Those where the days!.
They only name storms when they are more potent than the typical, normal areas of low pressure.

The boy who cried wolf springs to mind!!
Why you giving a bit of windy weather a name ????
Because it's a storm system? The clue is in the title really.
Michael Fish would of been a better person to forecast this storm surly.
Or Wincie Willis ☔🌂
Michael Fish was never surly, was he? Surely not!

It's like the name *Ian* you pronounce the *I* the same way, sounding more like an E.
My name is getting famous lol 😂
Another bloody drama.
Blame the weather. These guys are just the messenger.
Thank you, Greg
