- In today's vlog, I'll be touring my garden to assess the devastating impact of Hurricane Beryl. It was heartbreaking to wake up and see the garden I had worked so hard to build and maintain for almost two decades be left in absolute ruin after the passage of Hurricane Beryl last Wednesday. Thankfully, Jamaica was spared the worst, but so many homes and businesses have been destroyed. All in all, I give thanks that I still have my home and I have my family to help me navigate this difficult time.

Oh my God Precious! I’m just seeing this. I’m so deeply sorry you are now dealing with this. I know how much you had to endure this last year. Let’s just give thanks to the lord that you are okay and still have your orchids. It’s mainly cleaning up. But I’ve been in that situation here in Florida way too many times. I know too well what that feeling is the day after the storm. I wish I was there helping you clean up. I love that you find joy in a situation like this. Focusing on your Vandas and celebrating their beauty after the storm is exactly what should be done. You are a precious soul. My thoughts a prayers go out to you. Hi Nelson, I am in devastation mode once again but this too shall pass. I pray that God will grant me the strength and the energy to clean up the ruins and to start the restoration process. I have shed many tears, knowing that 23 years of labour has been ruined but in the name of Jesus I shall rise again. Hi Precious iam so so sorry to see the devastation that Beryl has done to your garden but as you rightly said all is not lost and you have life and your beautiful home is still intact. Also you still have a lot of your orchids alive just to be rearranged. I think you are going to bounce back and rebuild even better. Here in Barbados I brought alot of my cacti in side and just leave everything else we had lots of rain and strong winds in my area but no damage. My heart goes out to all the islands that had damages from Beryl. I will be looking forward to seeing how you bounce back in Jesus's name ❤❤

Oh Precious I am so sorry .But as long as there is life there is hope .Stay positive and be blessed Beryl passed my side the South of the island of Barbados I took down my hanging plants before (I don't have a quarter of what you have) but some of them still blew over otherwise my garden is good

The mango trees have been uprooted and are blocking the passageways so they will have to be discarded. Thanks for the suggestion though, I guess Beryl will cause me to rebuild even better than before. Cheers🙌🏽
