Awesome to see it getting remade, but at $40 it’s almost insulting. You can find the original official figure for the same or less. Way too expensive for a army builder.
i never considered vehicons as cool decepticons but after having some thought and watching this, they seem cool. I also think we might get one in the transformers legacy line since they released TFP bulkhead and arcee
they were only a threat for like the first two episodes, but in that time when they were chasing down arcee and trying to kill the humans, they were intimidating as all hell
Such an amazing mold. That transformation was downright black magic a decade ago, and even now it's highly impressive. I've got plenty of Vehicons already, though I admit I'm tempted by the thought of adding just one more and getting a spare gun for my 10th Anniversary Jet Vehicon.
I hope APC toys makes the jet versions of the Vehicons next, especially the Jet Vehicon General. I missed out on that one and it goes for what I think are over the top prices on the after market. And the sole reason I got the TFP 10th anniversary set with the Jet Vehicon and War Breakdown was for the vehicon, not so much for Breakdown as I own the original Arm Micron version and the Cilas Breakdown version.
it's such a fateful recreation of the original that I learned something new watching this review: I never realized the gun could be attached "backwards" to give it that transforming out of the arm look until now
I still have my original Vehicon and he's easily my favorite figure I own. He's been getting a little loose, so I'll definitely be buying one of these guys. Super excited. 👍
You know a show is good when even the foot soldiers look badass😩🔥 Even the Alt mode of the vehicon Fliers and regular ones are awesome... especially those grey and white ones we see later on in the show near the end👀👀
What are some Prime figures you would want to see APC Toys do next? Personally, I want an upscaled version of Deluxe Ratchet. I think that original figure is a good representation of the character and alt mode, I just wish he was slightly bigger. Also have boatload of surgical accessories.
Ah this is torture, I want a Prime vehicon so bad, preferably the jet one but it’s still not back in stock at hasbro pulse if they even will restock it😭

And in the show itself, when the vehicons are chasing Arcee in vehicle mode in the first episode, they deploy their blasters in the front of their cars.

I always loved this mold over the First Edition (I own two of those) and anytime I went to my TRU and saw if they had this mold I'd buy one. I ended up with four of them. But I'm going to pass on this. However, if APC Toys does the inevitable variants (Air and Armada) I might nab two each. I get the feeling these variants will be the next ones released since APC does the variants first before the next mold per their Optimus, Megatron, and Soundwaves.
I will say this for this mould - they integrated the clip on wheels in a way way that makes them not look horrible - unlike say Studio Series Jazz who's wheels are a mess. I'll likely skip this as I already have a few of the originals - I may see what they do with the Jet vehicon though as being an Arms Micron toy originally they might decide to tweak that a bit more if they do that one too. I'd squee like a 6 year old if they made the Tank and Helicopter ones from the videogame too. ( I think there was even motorcycle design too) I'll be really interested to see what they decide to do with Airachnia too - as she likely needs a complete overhaul not just a reproduction - are they up for it though. The one that originally was going to be 1st was Breakdown - so I wonder if that will get a 1-1 repro or an over-scale, but either way that one might be worth a look (when they get around to it) as it should be painted instead of stickered.
I guess its not a huge deal that this is basically identical to the official release, its a damn good mould after all. But as someone who already owns the original (well, the Arms Micron release), this just doesnt really have much to offer for me, and that's a bit disappointing because I do think there was room for improvement, such as show-accurate coloration. The new gun is nice but IMO needs to be smaller and better-integrated into the arm rather than looking like a separate handheld weapon

But, do you believe they'll re-release this guy in purple plastic or with metallic purple paint job? I don't feel is worth it if it's also black and identical to the original version. You can get original Vehicons for half of that price

my vehicon broke a while back, the aged clear plastic and paradoxically tight hinge joints made one of the roof panels break off in my hand, it can still transform and the robot mode is basically unaffected but, RIP Cadillac Cien wannabe
I have the arms micron version of this guy and I just realized that the Hasbro and AP figures don't have a rear thruster in vehicle mode. Is the arms micron figure a different vehicon character?

The vehicons did in fact use their weapons in car mode a few times, but they came out of the hood area.
Imo thier design is really fits the unicron triolgy,they even give me some armada/energon vibes ngl
