A monument to depression and sadness. This might be Scott's best. The slow moments represent the sadness and numbness. The fast moments and tortured vocals represent the brief descents into rage and anger. And the final section represents, I don't know, a certain "inevitably" to it all? You just accept that you're fucked in the head and this is your lot in life, that you're gonna feel hopeless and worthless at times and that's just how it is. Song is a monument to a tortured soul, and at least Scott's suffering at the time led to beautiful art that maybe only a select few can understand... but they can understand it so much so.
Xasthur puts me in a strange dark trance whenever I listen to it. Its like being unconscious almost. Very peaceful in the darkest way. This track really hits its stride at like 3:15
Hello from the future. "Dark trance" is a good way to describe it. I like to listen to such music when im at the bad mood. I feel lightened up a bit aftetwards.
@@BehappyBhairava i am a member of the same club.. Scott is quite the artist, he has a gift for music, almost transcending the artform into pure expression. The visceral, beautiful, emotive force he can project through an audio file, there is no other musician on Earth who can give me such an out of body experience.
a song ill love forever i can get lost in it, and it triggers a lot of memories, thoughts, and emotions. yet it can be so beautiful.. it's dark and really reflects a lot of what many of us feel internally like the sadness and misery, the despair and the anger, etc. but it's also very beautiful and has a story to it and it has a special vibe. at least that's how i see it.. ill always love black metal.. and this almost feels like im spiraling down a void and i love it
Artemis be near me In the arms of the ancient oak Where daylight hangs by a lunar noose And the horned, hidden one is re-invoked Evolution has been recalled Beneath the spread of a Magical Aeon I stand enthralled ...In the whispering forest... "Pale, beyond porch and portal Crowned with leaves, she stands Who gathers all things mortal With cold immortal hands Her languid lips are sweeter Than love's who fears to greet her To men that mix and meet her From many times and lands."
