This video should be taken as a general guideline to help you decide what melee, range, and mage gear to buy next in Oldschool Runescape when training slayer. The order is determined based on the items offensive and defensive values compared to its price in order to give you the most benefit for your money. This will cover gear spanning from a cheaper build to a build that includes best in slot items.

IMPORTANT
if you are interested this comment will contain all additional notes and 'assumptions' made within the site's calculations. These assumptions were made to reduce the amount of options for the user without jeopardizing the result of the calculation. If you find a problem with one of these assumptions let me know and I can look into changing it.
NOTES
- This list is ordered in order to give you the most bonuses per gp spent.
- Weapons that can train strength are compared against the previous strength training weapon.
ASSUMPTIONS
- The user is using the highest bonus attack style for their weapon (ex. slash for whip etc)
- The user is training strength with strength weapons and attack with any other melee weapon (this is done since there are invisible level boosts depending on the style)
- All ranged combat is done in the Rapid combat stance
- Enemies attack with their highest offensive bonus
- Ranged and Magic tasks can be safespotted (defensive bonuses of these armors will not be calculated due to this assumption. This is why the Fury Amulet does not show up for Range and Magic since it has the same accuracy bonuses as a Glory Amulet for those combat styles)
The site isnt allowing me to input stats to begin the calculations. you can input numbers but it wont actaully show them or count them in gear calculations. does it not work for you aswell?

Immediately I absolutely love the site and what it can do. Some suggestions/things I would like to see happen right off the bat:
-Allow users to add what gear they already have so that the site only recommends what they don't have
-Maybe find some other UI instead of a grid of buttons for selecting tasks? As of now this is kinda clunky to find what you want and select it

Yeah that first suggestion is something I had in mind but didn't think it was necessary for a phase 1 build. It has been suggested a bunch though so that's probably one of the first big change that I'll make. I completely agree about the grid layout being clunky as well. I'll definitely look into updating that as well. Thanks!

are you going to update the prices based off of the ge in there? the blowpipe is like 6.5m on the ge not 2.8.... I know prices are going to fluctuate but are their any plans for integrating that in like on the wiki? it is a fantastic page and I love it keep up the good work
I have a script that manually updates prices, I'll try to get that updated soon. I wasn't worried about it when the price fluctuations were minor, but honestly I had just forgotten to do this with the recent Blowpipe price changes.

i just discover this site. sadly we can put in the piece of equipement that we already have. but over all is usefull
no cannon option. ignores most efficient ways to do most tasks with safespot bp+cannon.
Also assumes basic range setup is a rune crossbow which is a dead content item that should never be used outside of deep wilderness. toxic blowpipe wouldnt be valued nearly so highly is you compared an 85k xp/hr msb(i) with rune arrows to a 110k xp/hr blowpipe vs a 40k xp/hr rune cbow with broads. blowpipe also cant be valued at the ge value. It has to be valued at ge value plus 3-400k gp/hr for every hour you will spend ranging til 99 slay. It more likely cost is somewhere around 40-100m
abyssal dagger is listed as an upgrade to sara sword which is 100% wrong, ss is higher dps for 90% of tasks, the other 10% should be skipped/blocked or ranged anyway. dagger is a niche weapon who's value comes from being 1 handed, which makes it only good for dragons or stuff with higher defence which requires the defender attack bonus.
staff of the dead is an object no player should own for slayer. Certainly not for mains doing slayer which this site is geared towards, if you need a 1h weapon just put the sara sword down and use a whip.
Seers ring and trident of the swamp are not slayer items, they are pvm items, you dont burst with either equipped.
Ahrims shouldnt be a buy option unless you burst smoke devils, no other mage task requires mage bonus. I guess you could also include seers here if smoke devils and aoe mage are selected. Similarly for wizard boots, why would you own these when holy sandals exist, and now even devout boots in this 2019 age we live in. Malediction ward is an option when ive only listed burst tasks. why?
Ive included prayer on every single melee task as i pray flick anything that hurts me but bcp is recommended before torture, tassies and prims. BCP is garbage. It should be literally the last thing you purchase.
Ancestral top+bot should never be listed as separate upgrades. They are 2 pieces of the same item, one without the other never be a thing. Adding 2% dps is completely untrue, the first gives less than 0.1% of an upgrade, the second gives 3-4% based on the +1 maxhit.

It really depends on what tasks and combat styles you selected and if your strength level is at a weird breakpoint. I'm thinking maybe your strength level is at a point where a torture over fury doesn't give a max hit, against tasks that have a low defense so the accuracy is devalued, and you aren't using protection prayer against any melee task. If that isn't the case something may be wrong. If you can remember, what tasks did you choose?

Once I get it down I plan to. Although I've been debating just making a full attempt video just to show my progress. I'll probably make a video like that if I don't finish it within the next few days.
The off hand slot for melee is glitched, once you get to saradomin sword it will replace dragon defender permanently.
not sure if you check comments here anymore, but i was curious what would be best in place of a blowpipe since the upkeep cost of it is so pricey now adays. almost 99 in all melee stats so i'll have to start ranging every task lol
Honestly you should at least break even if you just replace easily rangable tasks with a blowpipe. This depends on what your block / skip list looks like, but if you do somewhat easy boss tasks (dks, cerb, etc) and maybe some profitable / afking tasks (gargs) while blowpiping / cannoning where appropriate, you should still pull a profit overall

Why is it suggesting my best melee wep is bludgeon when I have 99 str but only 90 att/def? Seems to be wrong?
What I think is happening is that you have crush tasks selected so the bludgeon shows up on the list (most likely towards the bottom of the list, correct?). It isn't the 'best weapon' but yeah I think the way it's set up it would replace the whip on the equipment list. Sounds like more of just a visual / display issue as it should go in the 'Main hand alt' column.
You should add the ghrazi rapier to the weapons/items on your slayer site. Its definitely bis overall in general for slayer training due to its high str and att bonus along with either a sara godsword for healing and prayer, or bgs if your doing slayer bossing.
What if for some tasks I melee and also range. Sometimes I melee greater demons and hellhounds and other times I BP them. Does this not really effect the outcome?
+SlayerODragon you can select both melee and range for that task and it will basically add one to each of those counters

cool site and all but wish where it says [NEXT ITEM] there is an option to check as in bought it or a skip (i have this or dont want it) and it skips to next item in list. cause i have most of the gear its telling me next upgrade many upgrades later get a fury, thats after an abby dagger sarasword blessed sarsword and whip and so forth lol. I would like to check what i have/dont have and skip item mainly. Like a check list you check off lol
Honestly I think you're completely correct. When I was making it I didn't really think of the list that way (needing skips etc) and some things aren't clear (like that some items may not be an upgrade based on the stats and price). I'll try to work in a change to the wording to make that more clear. Appreciate the feedback!

Calc is awful for any account that has attack/def restrictions, my 10 def 60 attack account gets recommended sara sword fighter torso, abby dagger, d boots as first buy upgrades.
Love the idea, but as for now its unusable for me.
+Richard it doesn't take into account level restrictions at this time, but even if it did you is geared more towards main accounts. It'd be a much larger project to add every item in the game as a possibility to this list

It's worth it if you aren't strapped for cash. The calculations doesn't include constant upkeep cost

It's most likely the saradomin sword, not the godsword. There's quite a difference between the two. Also very few leg items increase DPS. The upgrade from rune platelegs are obby legs at over 1m, and obby legs rarely give any dps increase. That is why a 700k item is above a leg upgrade.
