Norm wants to improve community spirit in the canyon and is convinced the key is a mascot. The only problem is whatever costume he puts on immediately caused Bear to attack and maul him. While this is going on, Bobby Joe, a terminally ill young man drops into the canyon and sadly, for him anyway, lives. The Canyonites decide to teach him the value of life by making his last days on earth wonderful.
While driving to their vacation, a family falls into a canyon and must learn to get on with their fellow stranded neighbours and, mostly, one another.
