Looks like a pretty great bag. Hopefully there's a V2 with a few improvements. I'm surprised by the people complaining that there is no water bottle pocket. It has PALS webbing for MOLLE attachments- just add your own water bottle pocket. I'm glad it has a streamlined design without external WBP. Im most happy that it's not prohibitively expensive!

Bought this and it's perfect for my carry-on luggage needs. In my case, I hid the extra shoulder straps on the molle straps at both sides of the bag.

Being a commuter bag I expect it to have some anti theft features but NO. It's so easy for anyone to open the pockets from behind in a crowded setting. I hope they improve this one
I love that this bag has a molle system I have some pouches I attach for my bike repair tools on the road. Being able to attach D rings on the molle would be cool too.

Thanks for the review. I wonder if the overlapping pockets in the admin compartment allow you to access them by swinging the bag in front of your body and opening just one of the zips. Kinda like quick access pockets whilst carrying the bag. The overlapping feature means its ambidextrous, so can be swung from either right or left shoulder. Just a thought - I haven't got one (yet) so don't know how well this might work in practice.

I didn't know they released a 23L backpack.
I had the BP25 and unfortunately the bottom of the straps, where it goes into the very thin material near the buckles, dug into my sides and it was very uncomfortable.
This one looks a bit better, so I might give this one a try. I like the colours on the inside.
They could've added a water bottle pocket, though.
Oh, and at 4:33: You could unbuckle the straps, put them behind the luggage pass through and buckle them again. They won't dangle around then.

The straps would be a deal breaker for me. I noticed them before you pointed them out. I am 4’ 11” tall and VERY small framed so those straps would be choking me. I dislike the lack of water bottle pockets, I see so many companies doing away with them because they do tend to make the pack look more bulky and not as streamlined which I know many of us want but they are doing this at a time when people carry water with them more than ever. I know I do. So I think the designers need to understand the incredible need for easy to reach water bottle pockets. Some large. I want a 32 oz Hydroflask. The front admin pockets that are black to me would be better just as two mesh pockets. Those work well for small things and it’s simple and easy to see what you have. Other than that, I like everything else about it. It’s definitely a day pack. I’m not a light packer so there is definitely no way I could travel with that unless it was my daypack and I had a duffle bag for travel necessities. I take my dog everywhere I go so I have the doggies necessities that have become part of my daily carry. Which means a second water bottle to make sure they have water. But overall, if they fix those straps it would be a great day pack. It’s a good blend of tactical and regular. My hubby would probably like it and could probably handle the straps.
Wow your comment could have been written by me!😮 What is your favorite travel bag, if you don't mind me asking? I love the look of the Peak Design everyday 30L v1 but it's bulky and heavy relative to what it can hold for travel. What I actually use for OBT flights is ebags motherlode Jr. It's kind of Tom Bihn looking but nicer looking in all black (I have the 2018 version; the new ones....not to my taste....). But I would love a rec from someone who is built like me and loves bags....

I was just a second before buying this pack, but for this size it's just a bit heavy for me. Even my 30-32l tactical army-styled backpack only weights about 1kg. A bummer. I hope to find a similar interesting pack with similar size but much lighter

@@PackHacker2 Sounds like some kind of relaxing/meditation ambient background noise that's usually played in spas/massage parlours. Never noticed it before, as it's quite soft, very gentle and subtle.
