    Even when we have electric elevator, cars, trains, VR, I am still somehow swallowed by these designs. They are no doubt old and aged and far inferior to there later generations, but they felt like Colosseus, like mountain that create foundation, forebearance for so many designs. These designs looks simple and yet when they move, I could feel the intelligence of this grand artist, not only in his designing talent, but also innovative and amazing knowledge in physics, mathematics, something simply almost miracle and not belong to the world, I felt like I was living in the medieval, being amazed by these simple yet enormous steps he printed out for us and for the future of advancement. I just somehow feel tremendously respectful to him

      @raegarcia5848 7 лет назад +10

      I do agree that he did not make them. In fact, I've become quite annoyed at the fidget spinner fad. But my reason for saying you can thank Da Vinci is because of the ball bearing at 5:10. A very similar bearing is used in the center of the spinner to give it its spin. Of course this machine work is used in many other things as well, but I figured I'd put that to show how something from the rebalance that may have been easily overlooked then is easily overlooked now a days as well but even in simple little toys. (though the spinner was originally created to be a toy). Also, does anyone happen to know if there is any ealier known record of that type of bearing?

    Leonardo Da Vinci was a great engineer and he should have been given more respect. Newton and Einstein just explained theories but he showed how to use them in daily life. Notice that many inventions and machines use help of his smaller machines.

    • @Laceykat66
      @Laceykat66 6 лет назад

      True, but Da Vinci never BUILT his inventions. On paper, they all look grand, but as you have seen, there was no reason not to turn these ideas into practical inventions. He just never did.

    • @whatever7338
      @whatever7338 6 лет назад +5

      Well some of his bridges and dams were turned to reality and were used for long time. He was a genius tho and perhaps he could be bigger than Einstein or Newton if he lived in a more modern day but Newtons(and lets not forget Leibniz) discovery of calculus and Einsteins relativity just blows any Da Vincis discoveries out of water.

    • @Laceykat66
      @Laceykat66 6 лет назад

      That is an interesting observation. IF Da Vinci had been born 100 years later could HE have come up with gravity? OR was his genius presented in his time and with the tools he had. In a few hundred years would he have still been a genius or would science have left him behind?

    By the way, first invention is being used backwards. He is creating an updraft forcing him downwards. If he ran the other way (and changed pitch of the screw. And then developed an ultra light frame with a fan shroud around the screw, through the frame weighing in at under 30Kg. Graphene should be used as a canvas instead of hemp. Maybe carbon fiber as a frame. Then develope a system of reduction gears to turn the screw many times faster than the belt that the human runs on) then and only then, MAYBE

    Some people don't realize when you look at DaVinci's military works that they were all geared not to work. The gears of his tank we're counterintuitive which was a simple mistake that he wouldn't have made unintentionally. He appealed to great wealth and power by providing blueprints of military equipment, without its ability to kill people. Almost like he left all of his intelligent works for future Generations that may be so intelligent not to kill each other with them.

    2) Are you a museum curator or similar? You seem to have access to a lot of neat museum-like displays.
    3) Off topic from this video but can perpetual motion/free energy power something like a car, or a home? If so, why would we ever need gas or electricity?
    P.S. if this comment turns into the future of our technology, I demand 30% share of the company that invents perpetual cars and houses (or less, we can work something out).

      +Aerotactics *epic facepalm* Even if any of these perpetual motion ideas actually worked in reality with out hidden motors or wires, they would be used to generate electricity... electricity IS energy in about it's most basic and efficient form. There is no way to transfer a physical motion to the power that allows your phone or computer to work with out turning that motion into electricity.

    • @LevinLaniakea
      @LevinLaniakea 7 лет назад +2

      Aerotactics The crime is that your idea has been around for at least 2000 years and you say it's your original idea.
