My father would read the newspaper in the lounge smoking a cigarette, making rustling sounds that were annoying to me as I was trying to concentrate on watching TV. This was back in the 1960s. People are not smoking these days , and reading a paper is on the decline.

It was 35 millimeter cinema films that we were distributing around the country. I did film examination and publicity work too. I later worked for the NZ National Film Library in the 1980s. It was 16 millimeter educational films that we were sending out to schools etc. I also did film editing work too for them. Both those positions no longer exist. Technology changes.
