@teater...My dear friend there in Sweden, now it´s high time that you add the name of the choir in the title of your video and in the tags...:) Then you would reach a lot of more fans ! Okay ?
What voices! I mean Alexander is great to say the least but I must say that both the tenor and baritone have a beautiful technique that sounds rich and fluid. I was lost in their voices. Ser gut mein Herren!
I don't know how many times I've replayed this over and over again. It is simply one of the best renditions of this piece that I've heard. The singers are very talented. It is very rare to hear such young talents execute a brilliant performance. And Alexander's trill is just cherry on top.
One of the joys of this choir music for me is to watch the interactions between the singers and with the director. You could see it when Professor Schmidt-Gaden was the director, with his underlying humour and understanding. He demanded a high standard and they willingly gave it. Here I see it a little at 1:02. The bass sings "Das ist zu keck" (No need to be so rude) and the lad gives a smile. Very human; very sweet.
Magnificent voices - Alex's voice is so strong and incisive, but the young man on the right also has an extraordinary instrument - richness, depth and maturity that is belied by his age. This was a thrilling performance! Bravo!
Schule und Wirtschaftswissenschaften sind auch eine super Sache, trotzdem: als Kind hast Du einfach überirdisch schön gesungen. Ein großes Dankeschön hierfür!

I think, while the tolzers have produced many an outstanding soloist since alex, none can quite match him in the area of style and interpretation. Maybe Andi....but we did not get to see too many of his solo solos and it is hard to tell. I actually prefer andi's tone, but Alex here is the master of style and musicality.
Indeed. He was the best wasn't he? Unlike most trebles who sound weak and wimpy, he had a bright rich, full (and beautiful in timbre) voice throughout the range. Also a wide range of dynamic contrast and very tasteful musical expression. This video isn't a good example but he also has a flawless legato line and excellent phrasing. His singing could be variable at times but usually he was spot on and when he was on, he was incredible, like here. Yes very few trebles achieve what he did.
Is he? But you are from France and is 25 years old, if I look at your "homeside" Alxander are from Germany isnt he? And around 16 years old? But if he is playing in your soccerteam as you say. Tell him that many here on youtube likes his singing and hope that he will countine with that. Are he thinking about returning to the choir when his vocie has sattled?
