Toy story 2 sent me searching for this.
There is actually a video I reccomend of the full tour of what happens to your checked baggage. The account who created this recommended video is called Thrillist. It just doesn't include the workers sneaking through your luggage and butchering your suitcases
First time I saw an advance baggage handling system with valuable guidance to passengers. Very happy to fly with Emirates.

Wow, all I ever see of my bag is on the conveyer belt behind the ticket person, and then I see it loaded on the aircraft. This is so amazing!!!
LUGGAGE TIP:
Tie two or three colored ribbons of different lengths around the handle to your luggage to warn others that this is not their luggage. People grab luggage at the turnstile and take it home before you ever see it.
Use a man’s “half windsor” knot for the best look.
Anywhere you put your bag, it could be grabbed in error. Example: overhead compartment, unloaded from the bus, at the hotel lobby, turnstile........
Use 3/4” wide ribbons about 12-14” long. Cut the ends at 45 degrees then seal the end with one drop of Super Glue to prevent fraying. If each ribbon is slightly a different length by 1/2” or so, they will all show no matter what. Tie the 3 ribbons as if it were one ribbon using a half Windsor knot.
After it is tied on, the total length of the ribbons will be about 5-6” from the handle. A little longer ribbon shows up better. You can see it from 40 feet away.
Perhaps tie two handles, top and side of case. Put your phone number on one ribbon using a permanent Sharpie.
Choose one ribbon to have an unusual pattern or fabric to really make it unique.
Lay all 3 ribbons on top of one another. Then tie them with a half Windsor knot, same as a man uses.
Stand by the output hole of the turnstile to reduce the chance of someone else grabbing the piece.
Tie your skiies, duffel bag, and what ever with matching ribbons-even your computer case.
If you are a Travel Agent, you could gold stamp one ribbon with your name and phone number. Then send a set of ribbons, red and blue and black to your customer as a gift. Record this gift in your database so you don’t duplicate yourself. Buy a gold hot embossing machine. Gold emboss your business name on the black ribbon. If there is a way to put the customer’s name on it, do that.

Emirates Airline Don't Transport Fragile Items Through These Moving Belts, There Is A Separate Group Whose Job Is Only To Handle Fragile Items.
Here in Dublin, if you stick a fragile sticker on your bag, that bag will get thrown the hardest. My best bet, don't use a sticker.

I still had my suitcase broken into and a watch stolen from.inside it. There'll always be one bad person in any organisation.
I had a lost ski boot bag with Delta Airlines which mysteriously showed back up 1 week later with all the tags missing, I'll bet after someone opened it, but saw the boots were 6 years old. Not knowing what to do with it, the would-be thief just pushed it back into the system and then it wasn't his problem anymore. I was lucky to get it back.

No wonder why Dubai airport is busiest of the world. Where I lived near airport I see each every planes land every 24hrs in a minute nonstop. There bes 5, 6 planes landing in line in a minute. It's so difficult to handle Air traffics u need so much brains to control them. Hats off to Dubai Airport company.

My bags got lost, and they haven't done anything to find them worse thing is, they brought me and my son gifts which were in the bags... Although they were informed no one has gotten back to us. Come on Emirates... Bad service.

This airport, that looks nice for the traveller, has a quit other perspektiv for the bagagehandler..
There is no systems, to help the guy in the lifting and loading proces of the ULD.
All work is manuel lifting and at the side of a moving conveyour belt..
.. yes, the airport look nice, but for the worker, there is no improvment for minimize the workload.
The Liftall CLS unit, would help here, in the loading af the ULD, and this is both a benefit for the airport and the bagagehandler.

Maybe you might enjoy it more to work with around 40 degree or more and 32kg bags. Maybe he has no other choice than to work there, can not efford a decent education.
Yes bag handlers are rough with the bags. I saw them in Houston airport and throwing the bags without a care. My husband's suitcase got ripped. Smh.. bet if it's their own bag they will be careful with it.

You don't wanna see how bags are generally handled in the make up area! To be fair, it is kind of a necessity, you will soon get a bad back if you gently set down every bag you handle, bags marked or appearing fragile will generally be treated as such, though. Always best to wrap delicate items in hold baggage very securely, though, out of sheer practical necessity, "robust" handling is normal, though deliberate mistreatment won't be tolerated.
