I'm fairly sure the only thing I've seen in the UK the colour of that blue fanta is mouthwash 😂
And blue limescale remover for cleaning the toilet.
Antifreeze
and window cleaner and sometimes bleach lol
Nah what about blue wkd 👌🏻😂
raspberry slush puppy, that's very blue.
How dare you suggest that we in Britain start drinking alcohol at age twelve? That's far too late in life to begin your journey to real adulthood!
I was 8 first time I got fall down drunk lol that was in high Wycombe 😅
The legal drinking age with parental supervision is 5
@sbjchef and it has to be with a meal
@scrappydoo7887 not at home, it is up to the parents as long as the child is over 5
@scrappydoo7887No that's in a pub or restaurant, a 16 year old can have cider or beer with a meal as long as they're with a adult. At home the age is only 5,but no responsible parent would give a 5 year old alcohol
The Berry Fanta looks like screen wash 😂
That headmaster is brilliant. I suspect that his pupils love him.
The best way to teach kids is to respect them and have a little fun too.
he is a great man and headmaster 🎉
He’s great, he is… and they do.
The AMERICAN 'Mountain Dew' is not allowed here or in the EU... So we have a 'safer' version made for the UK and EU market.
Same here in Australia, and its classed as an Energy drink like you guys, i like it personally over most other fizzy drinks, i like Fanta also, but here in Australia its made with real oranges and natural sugars, like most our fizzy drinks.
We have something closer to the OG Mountain Dew in the UK. The US version has changed from what it originally was
I live in France lol even younger here !! But hardly ever gets abused.. thank goodness my kids grew up here .. 😅
The US version will literally take years off you, but not in a good way.
@siloPIRATEThe US version is banned in many countries for good reason.
Am the only that’s noticed how much younger people are nowadays that say “thing don’t taste or cost like they used to!”? I’d hear it from my parents now it’s adolescent kids 😂… and Joel
“Fizzy wee” LOL
Hilarious when the teacher said 'cla, what's a cla?' lol...brilliant how he embraced the humour of it... :)
He's a good sport. He's in several of these taste test videos.
[4:55] As a german I really like his comment. For me it's that typical british kind of reaction.... 😂
That blue colour is exactly the same as the Copper Sulphate I was mixing today!🫤
That was my thought too!
5:35 That boy got an amazing speaking voice. ^^ He could narrate documentaries.
The colour of the Fanta can tells me to use a hazmat suit.-----
It reminds me of pentobarbital or 'blue juice' used for euthanasia (animals) because there's nothing else that colour so you can't confuse it for something else!
Thank you for this one. I badly needed a good laugh.
The man is the Principal of Fulham Boys’ High School. Josh and Olly have been working with the boys of that school for several years now, with the original class all having graduated and attending University. That group of now young adults, are my favourites because we have come to know and care about them. My favourites are Armand, Harvey and Bobby. 🥰
Those kids are so smart, witty and hilarious they need their own show !!
You'll have to aquire yourself a Tesco loyalty card and save a bit more off your meal deal.
Mountain dew is the old Scottish name for moon shine and it was a Scottish guy who invented it as a mixer intended for whisky. Its less american than you think
Moon shine being Scottish ... Makes total sense.
Probably why its not completely dissimilar to Irn Brew.
Headteacher awesome…kids must love him..
That bloke is so far from being what I think of as a stereotypical headmaster! If he'd been the headmaster at my school, I would have been constantly doing things that would get me sent to see the head, just so we could hang out and have a laugh! 😆
My headmaster back at school was also really chill guy
He seemed like a ‘down with the kids’ type headmaster lol and that’s always fun 😅
omg same 😂🎉
Lipton Ice Tea shops were founded in Scotland in 1871, within a decade he had 200 branches and began selling in the US in 1891. Then in 1964 they (now owned by Unilever) struck a deal to be the powdered tea supplier to Pepsi which stands to this day.
I love ice tea
My son adores the Peach Tea…. It’s his treat drink…
I worked in a Nephrology Centre years ago and new patients were required to provide a 24 hour urine collection as part of their initial assessment . After all these years I have just realised that those containers of pee were being sold to Americans as TEA !!! Also now I can understand why coffee is the drink of choice for you guys.
Iced tea is gross.
Even their Coffee is terrible.
Yup, as a nurse I’ve seen most of those colours (apart from the riotous blue) as urine. Green wee happens when you take celery tablets.. who knew?! Lol. And why would u take those for heavens sake? Anyhoo, yup, that Arizona Tea is a well dehydrated person…
@janemoney5144 I like iced tea but only homemade.
Made me chuckle …. it’s certainly made my Tuesday 😂😂
The headmaster absolutely rocks it when he realises what his students just drank in the Clamato. He's going to be grinning at them for the next fortnight and they won't dare to ask why.
The kid that drank the big red like a shot then had an instant regret on his face 😂 its like me when i down shots
We start drinking at age 5 bro 😂!!
There's a great video made by CBS, and another by Clips Cafe, on school meals in France. I think you'd be surprised and entertained by either of them.
meal deal is about £8 - 9 now. or more in different shops than tesco
Brits are hilarious, i love them
I wish we had headmasters like that in the 70's...
This was fun 😊
On the warhead can there is a pic of a strawberry a blue eckin strawberry.
'what is cla' floors me every time😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good one Joel ❤
[11:57] _Fanta from Europe_ tastes different from country to country. It's not the same receipe in Italy and Germany or in France and in Slovenia. That applies to (almost) all flavours...
Great fun Joel!!! From a laboratory or lavatory? Too blue, like porta-potty chemicals?? Clamato, a Canadian favourite for making Bloody Caesars (with vodka) !! Clam juice, buddies.
In the UK we have Tizer. Red drink
Clamato is loved in Canada, it's used in a classic cocktail the Bloody Caesar. 👍
The blue raspberry flavour has been here since I was a kid in the form of slushies! And I’m 55 years old, so we are talking late 70’s - 80’s.
It has and, although it's still available, not that many youngsters have had a blue slushie, or any slushie. They cost an arm and a leg!
Yep, our local corner shop had a slush puppie machine and we would save up our pocket money and have the occasional one on the way home from school. It was usually a pay for the bus OR get a slushy type deal (and you can guess which option seemed to be picked most in the boiling heat!🤣) Then you would have to show everyone how blue your tongue was afterwards! Good times 🤣
It's like, how much more blue could this be? And the answer is none.
Yeah, they turned that blue up to 11.
That headmaster is awesome!
That schoolkid saying “Inflation is crazy” was so hilarious to me! 😂😂😂
The kids seem more mature than the teacher!
We have Arizona green tea in the UK. It comes in pretty bottles
Really? Where have you seen it?
There used to be this shop at a shopping centre called the American candy store and you could buy just about all these drinks and they were so sweet I had to brush my teeth after because the sugar made me feel weird
Those kids missed out on Cresta (it’s frothy, man) and Um Bongo (they drink it in The Congo).
Thanks!
What a waste of money !
W Dono
The Warhead looks like blue curaçao.
13:04 It's the word Berry. Interesting to see that even tho they knew it was too sweet really. It had the word Berry attached which tells our british brain that it can be sweeter but its still from a delightful summer forest .. so it must be good. 😅
The blue colour makes me think of anti freeze
11:44 "Romulan Ale should be illegal!"
St. Helier made a cider, about the same shade of blue,
passable ...
Mtn dew is literally in every uk shop
The UK version of Fanta has 1/3 of the sugar and natural colours.
meal deals are unfortunately 4 quid now at my local Tescos.
Here in Spain we have something called Bitter Kas - try it if you can!
Love grape! Blue raspberry is the best!
Blue raspberry is just raspberry flavour but coloured blue to differentiate it from strawberry flavoured sweets.
Why does it taste different then?.
20/20 mad dog at 12 when camping 😂
“I was going to say he’s too young to be thinking about wine, but I forgot it’s Britain and you guys start at like 12” 😂
We start drinking alcohol - legally - aged 5 years within the home and with adults (18+).
@brigidsingleton1596
Don't forget in a pub or restaurant with a MEAL and if you’re 16 or 17 and accompanied by an adult, you can drink (but not buy) beer, wine or cider with that meal. 👍
@brigidsingleton1596Absolute rubbish , Kids even under 5 can go into a pub serving food accompanied by adults , but if I saw anyone giving a 5 year old alcohol, I’d be phoning Social Services , I think you need to reacquaint yourself with the law before you have children
British kids might illegally try alcohol around 12 years old , but that’s better than trying Meth like American kids 😂
@tillyt4054
I think you had better acquaint yourself with our drinking laws.
I did not suggest in any way, shape, or form that family members of all ages could not enter pubs but they are not allowed to be served alcohol nor buy any until they are 18.
At 16 in a pub / restaurant setting they may drink cider or wine with their meal accompanied by family / at least one adult of 18 or over but not purchase said alcohol themselves.
At home, from the age of 5 years, with family / responsible adult of 18 and over, they are legally allowed to drink a small beer, or cider, shandy or wine, (I was given small shot glasses of Guinness occasionally, as I recovered from Polio) but out of the home, no, only those ages stated above are allowed to drink alcohol and none are permitted to buy any alcohol at any place, pub, supermarket or restaurant etc _until_ they are at least 18. Family-oriented pubs naturally cater for families of all ages, from birth upwards (my eldest was 6 months old at her first familial visit to a country pub - but only her parents and Grandmother bought / drank alcohol, though she did suck some froth off her Grandmother's Guinness by accident)
Perhaps if you learned to read comments more thoroughly, you wouldn't be so quick to jump to the wrong conclusions and start implying others know not what they're talking about.
Clamato is used as a drink mix with BOOZE.
That warhead soda looks like widow wash
That was so much fun! 😂
Clamato is huge in Canada for a Bloody Caesar.
Love how fanta blue looks like mouth wash 😂
Since some of them said that Big Red, for example, tastes like medicine, it's worth mentioning that most old school sodas were intended as such. Coke too.
Yep, Vimto, Tizer, Lucozade, Ribena, Dandelion and Burdock, to name a few.
What you should really try is Italian aranciata amara from San Pellegrino, made with bitter oranges.
My son adores the limoncello San Pellegrino..
Blood orange flavour the best
Oooo..... Chinotto... that's my favourite Italian sparkling...
In the rest of the world, equipment in food manufacturing is coloured blue, for visibility - *because there is no natural food that is blue.*
Blueberries, Bilberries, Indigo Rose tomatoes, blue corn, concord grapes, those prove you wrong.
@scottneil1187blueberrys and presumably the rest technically produce the color Indigo which while being a shade of blue isnt the traditional blue food manifacturers look for.
@scottneil1187 Blueberries, (bilberries ARE blueberries) and concord grapes are naturally purple. All are currently cultivars created/altered by men, some using anthocyanins. The tomatoes didn't exist until 2012, when they were created at Oregon State University.
@scottneil1187 You know what they meant, not the same kind of blue is it. Most of those barely even qualify as blue, they're more of a purple black, and the couple that are more blue are deep blue black, not vibrant blue.
@scottneil1187Those are all purple, despite their names.
I once asked an American waitress for something with more tastethan iced tea..like water.
High school in the UK is called Secondary School
Your obsession with Tesco meal deals is hilarious! The two blue drinks are the colour of antifreeze....
If you want to experience a "caffeine" high, you should try Buckfast !
(15% ABV and 280mg of caffeine !)
lol it seems like that combo of alcohol and caffeine would get you drunk and sobered up again at the same time, confusing 😂
brilliant reactions JP please check out more jolly vids they are so good
Grape Fanta is another one we don't get the full version of in UK because of the sugars and sweaters.
Hello Joel. How many needed the school medic afterward?
that was so funny with the lads but the funniest was the headmaster. 🤣🤣🤣
Great fun!
"Ooh, green tea! That's going to be good!" The pride I had in that kid at that moment 😅.🫖🇬🇧
It's just wild that US mtn dew still has bromine in it
our mountain due is different in the uk, the us version is banned here.
Thank you so so funny 😂
"Oh Nelly" is not something I've heard before and I love it. Really tickled me.
I think they should have shown or listed the ingredients in EACH... I'm curious about ANY artificial dyes/colourings and flavourings they may contain, especially those that would NOT have been allowed, if manufactured here in the UK or EU !?
Those are on the manufacturer's website for the US. Easily viewable. Unlikely they're manufactured in the UK or EU as they start the video by explaining a fan mailed them to Jolly from the US.
I love it’s the colour of the Thames magic😂
There is so many things that the U.S lay claim to that never actually originated there...Apple Pie is the funniest one 😁🤣😂
I'm hooked on Liptons peach tea
We get Arizona tea in UK and i love it ,not as good as Chinese tea drinks but still good, so is snapples tea
04:05 UK/European Mountain Dew isn't the same as the US one. It's more like the original recipe from years ago. None of the nasty modern stuff. Unless they managed to get US versions of course.
I’d love the sour one.
Joel you are slowly turning british! "Couple of quid"
lol I said that! Along with the meal deal comment.. we will assimilate him ;-)
I got a Tesco Meal Deal about a week ago and was £3.40 so it's probably around £5 now.
I got one3 days ago and it's now £3.60.
Diet Dew is delicious!
you thanked them and said they had saved you 'a couple of quid'.. that's so british lol
Try get Greek lemon Fanta… incredible
The thing about American sodas is that their meant to be drunk ice cold, and usually mixed with ice.
Hey! I enjoy the videos.
Fanta in most European countries has about 5% of orange juice, but there are some like my country that has like around 10% or more. Also comes with fewer ingredients.
French Fanta has a lot of Orange juice in it. I like it the most!
There are blue raspberries, check Rubus caesius
The Big Red burnt off my tastebuds🤣
JPS a very successful cigarette brand and motorsport spinster.
there's brominated vegetable oil in Mountain Dew! That stuff will killya!
😂 hilarious ta.
I've tried American orange Fanta. It just looks and tastes like cheap corner shop orangeade.
