See, problem here is not nepotism itself. It is about getting a chance. Yes, beeing some actors child will give you easier entry into the industry, and thats what matters. So many talents out there, but dont have the chance to prove. Thats the problem, that talents without parents is hardly recognised

Jason anna director aana nalla irukum. He is the youngest director as of now. Tamil cinema la as of now youthful stories eh illa and most of them are for older people. After Venkat Prabhu he can be a director for youth. Jason anna can encourage new talents and we can get introduced to a new world of film making. He could have directed a very normal masala film featuring his father who is the biggest star but he is trying to create his new identity. Generally Tamil actors are encouraging to new comers. I too thought the same initially, just like you. But after some thoughts and the points put forth in the Take Okay channel made some sense. Firstly we have to understand that LYCA didn't give opportunity to Jason that previously belonged to someone else, so atleast they were moral and ethical to some extent. Secondly, LYCA could have made a decision to offer production support for JASON just because he is Vijays son and he has the capacity to bring in people , maybe VIjay can push his fans indirectly to watch his sons movie. So as a business LYCA has minimised a huge risk factor here, instead of introducing an unkown talented director. To make things even clearer, lets assume you are the business owner of LYCA, you as a business owner what will be your primary goal ? Most probably the answer is to make "money !". So now you have some buffer amount to spend on some new director. Would you rather spend the money on someone you have never met in life and have never seen their previous work or would you rather invest that money on someone you already know and has a chance of bringing in more audience than anyone else new to the film industry. Most probably as a business owner people would choose the second option because as i said movie production is a business and people want to make money at the end of day regardless the product (movie) is good or bad. Of course nobody can deny the fact that Jason has a huge "un-fair" advantage. But that's world right ? if you and me were sons of Vijay we would have also enjoyed these benefits. But unfortunately we are not. However, a friend of mine once said, " if you are rich and you win once you always win more, if you are poor, you loose once you loose more " , so if Jason gets more opportunity even if he gives a below par quality movie we shouldn't be surprised, similarly it will be insanely hard for a new director to give a come back after a flop movie. And that's world and that's how it works we can not expect change, all we can do is strive and work hard enough to get to the Top segment of population then possibly your future generation can reap the same benefits that Jason Sanjay gets today.
