Dual wielding the antspur and having the bloody helice as a back up has been my go to. If you want to go full glass cannon dual wield frost curved swords then switch to antspur when the frostbite is active. Its an insane rush down playstyle
Try backstepping while charging a heavy, it's another move you didn't cover. Very important mixup, same can be applied to the frozen needle for a quick icicle.

This is one of the best swords in the game. Scarlet rot, can be buffed, and takes ashes of war. What else could you ask for? Blood flame, piercing fang AOW, and the scorpion dagger in the off hand is ridiculously powerful. Add the rotten wing insignia and you'll melt people. Or buff with poison for dual status buildup.
The ol Bloodspur Rapier...An absolutely terrifying weapon when used right! Blood Tax is pretty nasty on it. More so for PvE but I imagine it'd be scary as hell if you were caught by it in PvP, too. I’d love to see some deathblight! Eclipse Shotel(s) and Death Lightning, although Fia’s Mist is thematic and makes great space for self-buffing regularly in invasions, especially if dual wielding. Such a satisfying death animation.
Dual wielding poison infused Anstpur Rapiers is one of my favorite invasion builds in any of these games, it gets me laughing in an almost maniacal way as the status effects build up and you start to see the host and his protectors begin to panic. Especially fun when the host's summons try to block doorways and whatnot, managing to sneak through or warp past with the invader item thing to place a DoT or two feels damn good. Bonus is that if you die but they're poisoned + rotted and already used 5 flasks, you still basically win.. they pretty much have to reset at a grace at that point lol!
Just happened to start using these today with the Blood Tax AoW and Poisonous Mist offhand. Idk if it’s optimal, but Blood Tax is definitely fun to use on these!
When talking about rapiers, heavy thrusting swords, and curved swords do you ever make use of the R2 + dodge step back attack to aggressively get to the backstep attack or do you think its too difficult to time? I like it especially when dual wielding because the step back L1 is normally pretty good.
Would love to see you showcase a weapon with low requirements like claymore or banished knights halberd but infuse it and use it as part of a spellsword build with int or faith. I really enjoyed your intelligence warrior video.
Hey Chase, I just started a Str/Fth build with the end goal being to use Malekith's Black Blade as the primary (once I get it). I'd love to see a showcase on it if you feel inclined.
It's pretty rare to get the rot off on non-pve bosses but at the end of the day it's still a customizable rapier and rapiers have very good movesets and ash options. I like to give mine keen infusion and grease additional status on it. Sleep grease gives you more attack opportunities so it's one of the few times I end up proccing the rot.
There is also an option to add more damage by equiping kindred of rot exultation talisman then you have like double buff damage if bleed and rot status effect procs
One of my favorite ashes of war! You always make it look so easy.. lately I've been using this with dual curved swords (doesn't matter) and use a buff on the off hand (solid advice)
The name of your second opponent is Tobias Fünke pronounced like fyoo-kay, aka the source of “there are dozens of us!”, aka the worlds first analyst AND therapist or what he likes to call an analrapist.
I put eruption on the godskin stitcher and flame of the redmanes on the iron cleaver… the iron cleaver has a running R2… chargeable… not a true combo but fun, especially for gaining ground after using the ash of war. Strength and fire knots on the physique, strength build
I run a dual Antspur, mainhand Poison Mist with bleed infusion, offhand Seppuku with poison infusion. One L1 and you can watch the panic set in as they bleed and become poisoned simultaneously.
1. two playthroughs 2. have another player drop you theirs 3. back up your save and drop yours to a friend, download your save file from before you dropped the rapier, have your friend return the one you dropped. Now you have two!
I like to use poison whetstone & then have seppuku on them both for triple status effect build. It was what carried me through my whole first play through.
I'd like to see more of Raptor of the Mists in future showcases. Kinda feel like it didn't get a chance to shine with how insane the bleed is here. It's a really fun AoW.
Ight commenting on this vid because the new warped axe has no comment section but I wish to inform that wildstrikes resets your poise every 2 hits so at full poise aslong and you dont get hit by a massive counter you will swind through everything
This weapon is amazing! I love using it on an arcane build with a poison infusion so you can get the double poison/scarlett rott especially dual welding them! Excellent counter for high level gank - btw with frost you can have the frost proc on it as long as it's below level 6 I believe it's a bug - so a frost antsout rapier could be viable on a lower level character
Thoughts on the ever-declining frequency of invasions on pc coupled with the new co-op mod taking even more players from the invasion pool? Have you noticed a large decline?
It has been pretty dead at lvl 150. I mostly get summoned to help with bosses. But yesterday I was getting summoned instantly. Was great! I only started multi player recently so I missed it when it was at its peak.

Just happened to start using these today with the Blood Tax AoW and Poisonous Mist offhand. Idk if it’s optimal, but Blood Tax is definitely fun to use on these!
Love your content and can't wait to see which weapons you are going to showcase next
oh I used this on my low lvl poison/scarlet rot build. was fun as hell (same as high wall of lothric poison build invasions)
When talking about rapiers, heavy thrusting swords, and curved swords do you ever make use of the R2 + dodge step back attack to aggressively get to the backstep attack or do you think its too difficult to time? I like it especially when dual wielding because the step back L1 is normally pretty good.
Its completely useless vs anyone with an ounce of ability
@@Chevalier_knight and it feels weird, I find myself doing the DS style kick most of the time and my opponent is like “you good bruh?”
"It's FYOON-kay" - Tobias Fünke
occult affinity w/ seppuku & the white mask + kindred of rots exaltation would make this sooo much better
man , I like your videos it make my day at school's lunch 😀
Watching Mythymoo's enemy randomizer run, he finds these weapons at like the same time these showcases come around. Good timing to see them in action
You should put poison affinity seppuku on both of ur ant spurs. Very very very effective
You should try the serpentbone blade though not the best katana but I still love the L2 on it
It's pretty rare to get the rot off on non-pve bosses but at the end of the day it's still a customizable rapier and rapiers have very good movesets and ash options. I like to give mine keen infusion and grease additional status on it. Sleep grease gives you more attack opportunities so it's one of the few times I end up proccing the rot.
These vids wouldn't be the same without the little ChaseTheBro twirl in the intro. Always manage to cheer me up
There is also an option to add more damage by equiping kindred of rot exultation talisman then you have like double buff damage if bleed and rot status effect procs
I did it Mr.Bro! I defeated malenia at level 50! You have inspired me to become a better player!
Congrats to that Nox, real MVP of the video.
That setup shreds, well done. The fashion is on point too.
Damn Chase! Pumping out the content!
I miss Arrested Development. What a great show.
Hey Chase, love the videos. Hope you're having a good time on vacation. I'd love to see an Urumi showcase! :)
I put eruption on the godskin stitcher and flame of the redmanes on the iron cleaver… the iron cleaver has a running R2… chargeable… not a true combo but fun, especially for gaining ground after using the ash of war. Strength and fire knots on the physique, strength build
This weapon was my go to in pvp when the fights went long. It rarely failed me. Mine was bleed as well, ridiculous damage.
I run a dual Antspur, mainhand Poison Mist with bleed infusion, offhand Seppuku with poison infusion. One L1 and you can watch the panic set in as they bleed and become poisoned simultaneously.
Please please help me how did you get 2 I can't figure out how you got 2 and it's for my build
1. two playthroughs
2. have another player drop you theirs
3. back up your save and drop yours to a friend, download your save file from before you dropped the rapier, have your friend return the one you dropped. Now you have two!
seeing someone else run stomp and shout on their dual wield build feels so good
*chase in every video*
"I like to have a large health pool"
*Very rarely gets hit*
I like to use poison whetstone & then have seppuku on them both for triple status effect build. It was what carried me through my whole first play through.
I'd like to see more of Raptor of the Mists in future showcases. Kinda feel like it didn't get a chance to shine with how insane the bleed is here.
It's a really fun AoW.
Don't forget with rapiers and curves swords you can feint to back-step while still attacking.
Great showcase! Thanks for the entertainment brother Chase 🙏
Tobias funke 😂 that’s from arrested development right?
