Mauri I can help you with this song lyrics as I'm a Ikiribati. here is the translation of the song. 1 verse Teidyboy...... she looks different and loving her is much different to compare to anything, loving her makes me more different and feel different. cho The beautiful flower from Toora which is Rereiti, I gave her my Heart and everything I got to own,I love her so much, the hard times we had, we thank God for the strength He gave us to conquer. The love between us will stay strong forever that me , Johnny from the island of Tarawa promises you to love you forever and came over to Your Island Maiana to stand on its beautiful beaches and approaches to the wind and land and your parent that I'm all yours.
Kiribatese are one of the well known best vocal artists in the pacific islands, especially in Micronesian islands. I'm from the Marshall Islands, a neighboring islands of Kiribat and I love and envy these people's music. They are very talented.
@@aratitenicholas3172 I think you right ma te main explanation of that is that Kiribatese bon te same ma Gilbertese, ao I-Kiribati is our own word of nationalist but these words are the same.
The song/music is much loved too by these indigenous people in Aussie where I work and I am so super proud to tell them that its from my country Kiribati 😍🥰A bon taarena buaka nab kain 🇰🇮
The song title "Ueen Toora" means Flower of Toora. Toora is the name of a village in the island of Maiana, which is one of the islands of the Republic of Kiribati. It is a love song from a boy/man to girl/woman (referred to here as the flower).
Yea, thank you sir for your explanation of this song. The song was a love song . They were married for more than 7 years and the woman went to New Zealand to worked there and she was fell in love with another man and the husband was very sad and ❤️broken and he was still love her and he still lived with her parents in Toora village in Maiana island.
Es klingt gut. ich habe schon einige Musik der Südsee, auch von Kiribati gehört. Einfach toll, macht Lust auf Leben unter Palmen am Meer. Einfach zum entspannen.
You interpreted this song really well considering you had no idea what it was saying lol thank you😊Teidy boy is one of our most popular singers at the moment❤thanks for sharing our country’s music
From Kiribati islands and I'm very glad, excited, and proud to know that other countries got to know our beloved country's best talents which is singing. Though little flaws were found in the song, i as an I-Kiribati person am very happy to know ur ❤felt for our songs and although it's more western than traditional. The Kiribati people will ❤ 2 share and support ur channel when they see this😊😊
I love this video, while I was searching for latest music from Kiribati and I found this video so I play it to see what is all about and yes I found it very interesting and fun❤ I’m just saying this because I’m proud of country hehe. It’s nice hope to see next videos.
This part of your channel have been picking up quite a stir among the sharing here in Kiribati. As most people who have commented, they were right. The title of the song is what the whole song is base on. "Ueen" literally means "Flower". Toora" is one of the village from Maiana Island. So "Ueen Toora" is translated "Flower from Toora" Hope this channel gets a higher rating by our subscribing.
Thank you so much for the reaction (the sound, language & music perfect) but please can you do another reaction to Teidy Boy song call "Am moti boi nee"

I recommend if you can try the Kiribati oldest song which music was added to the song this usually used as a dance song for a traditional Kiribatians ‘Bubuani Maia’ and also I prefer the song ‘Bubuani Maia hopes the song gives you vibes of the Kiribati island ❤
I’ll have to look into these suggestions, thank you! I’m already feeling lots of love from Kiribati because of this video, so it must be a wonderful place!
@@MidnightNotion yes and we really love your reactions on the song. our small country is getting more noticed hopes your videos on will get lots of ❤️❤️
I too think you will get a more traditional feel for Kiribati music with 'Bubuane Maia'. I believe its a slightly modern depiction of a popular traditional Kiribati dance song. When 'Tungaru Ngkai' made that cover, which was maybe 20 years ago, it became popular all over the Pacific Islands. You may also find youtube videos of Kiribati dance performances and maybe even other Pacific islands performances to the song.

I visited Kiribati several years ago,I was on a ncl cruise from Hawaii. I don't think they still stop there anymore,I would like to visit again. Sadly climate change is flooding all the Islands,it's about 80 miles north of the equator
They are not flooding,, I have a mate living there for 40 year directly on the waters edge. They get storm damage, like any shoreline in a high tide with strong winds behind it.
Te I-Kiribati, do some great remixes, have some great harmonies as well. They sing/kareoke and party a lot, as there is pretty much F all to do but enjoy your friends and family. I've been with and I-Kiribati woman for 14 years, so I know many I-Kiribati singers, there are many, many good singers there, I was even thinking about bringing one of them to Australia to compete on the voice (not the Voice of Parliment - BTW vote NO).
Hey Bryce! I was wondering if you could react to a Bastardane song, which is James Hetfield's sons band. Not sure if you've already heard them, but I just thought it would be cool to see you react to it, especially since you're a big Metallica fan.
