What's the usual temperature where you live - and what sort of difference does it make to the comfort within your house. Also when it's hot do you disconnect it ? Looking forward to your sand battery project. Thanks
@@aodstratford I live in southeast Ga there is no usual temperature. That's why we are so tough down here. Gotta be prepared for any temp any month. But our Winter can vary from mild to wild. Zero to 35 or even 40 daytime. At 35 outside with no other heat source the house warms to 65f by 1 or 2. It's only 24x24 open floor plan. I built the house myself with the help of my wife. Heavy insulation. The max allowed. In the summer my 1,5000 BTU window unit only uses 6kw per day for 24 hours to keep it 72 degrees. I use oil heaters at night. 120v 1500w. They only use 1.8kw overnight. The sun and air heater takes care of the daytime. Some days we have to open windows.
Amazing stuff, thanks.
@@blurigard447 you're welcome. I plan to open it up and do a video of the inside soon. Stay tuned 👍
