Great info. To identify mature poison hemlock look for purple splotches on the stems and leaflets arranged alternately. Thanks for the tip. 🌿

My horses won't eat ragweed. I've been trying to handpull up the Ragweed trying to prevent seeds, but it also spreads by rhizomes. That still has knocked it back.

The flower that you held up and labeled as wild carrot is actually hedge parsley. Torilis arvensis Very common mistake.

After spending thousands of $$ on new fencing for horse pasture area, it was discovered that the fill that was brought in contained Alsike clover. MI State says it can be horrible to kill off. Any ideas??

Pulling hemlock up by the roots and burning also helps!

The sap can be deadly. Why is he touching it without gloves? I know the sapof poison hemlock isn't usually absorbed by the skin, but can be absorbed through the mucus membranes of the eyes, nose and mouth.

Maybe there's a poisonous plant in the pasture they consumed. So relieved they are okay.
