This phone just got some insane Customization Capability with those Attachments and UI. The Cooling will give a long lasting performance. Back panel RGB's are so Soothing, I've liked it very much, looks pleasant and eye catchy.

From a design perspective the RedMagic 8 is objectively far more modern/even futurustic looking as well as having the bezeless screen without a so called punch hole. It looks very clean. The Rog offers slightly better performance and a slightly better camera . Both are great phones but overall personally I prefer the Red Magic 8 pro ...

@@adolfbilic8622 Performance looks the same to me. Basically locked 60fps on Genshin which Nubia was able to do from last year with the Red Magic 7 but Rog couldn't quite reach with the Rog Phone 6. Rog just achieved that this year. Only thing I see is 120fps on Cod Mobile. Don't know if the RM8 PRO has that yet do to CoD Mobile devs not yet allowing it for Red Magic Phones
@@zajko3113 I disagree. Rog Phone definitely has better cameras. But the RM8 Pro has a much better screen with the full screen display, no bezel nonsense. Performance is identical, battery life is probably identical(both have 6000 mAh battery so it just depends on optimization), Rog has better speakers and probably better haptics. Design is complete personal preference. Last year I much more preferred Rog Phone design. But this year Red Magic stepped up their design quite a bit. While I still prefer Rog Phone design it's only very slightly this year. But the Red Magic has a WAAAAAY better price, it's not even close. Rog is way overpriced imo and it's not really worth the price over the RM8 Pro.
The only thing that disappointed me from the 6D ultimate was that I couldn't connect my carrier to it in the US. Hopefully they made this phone available to US carriers
I used to own a base version of Rog 3, sold it because its been almost a year with me and feared that it might die on me out of nowhere and its near out of warranty and to repair this thing cost a lot. The only thing that I can advice, if you plan to buy rog phones solely only for games is to not update it. Stay on the firmware version that comes with it out of the box. Updates will cause errors to the phone later down the line. Not saying all rog users experience this but you have to consider the complexities of both software and hardware this thing have. And expect for its thermals if you happen to live in tropical areas.

I bought the red magic 6 pro when that came out and I still use it for gaming and watching movies. Really can't see myself getting another phone for at least 6 months maybe longer. Don't see the point in spending so much when there isn't much difference. Until mobile gaming gets better then I think I'll wait till next year when it's half price

IMO, RM8Pro rocks this year as the best gaming phone. From aesthetics, design, active cooling, large battery and so so camera, plus way way cheaper too. Lastly, try the RedMagic studio/console mode jeez, its super fast projection be it wired or wirelessly. Gaming on a big screen with lots of console functions too. Rog Phone 7 dissapoints.. P.S. Asus ROG laptop user/fan here, but, am in love with RedMagic phones 😍

I cant tell you about other model but im a former user of Rog phone 2. Hardware wise its freaking incredible, everything is fast and smooth. However, their software update is dog shit. You have better chance at waiting for an Unicorn to appear at your door step than waiting for asus to release os/software update in a timely manner. Also, Rog phone 2 and 3 are plague with QC issue. Mine died within a year from burn IC RAM. You might think im just unlucky, but you can check out xda forum and many user suffer from this too. Also i send mine to a local repair shop, and the owner told me he's sick and tired of fixing rog phone. He fixed like 5 rog phone every week.

Can you see if the aeroactive cooler allows for video data transfer ? I stream my call of duty mobile game play but i can’t stream with the active aerocooler, it seems that they improve on the heating issue and add it the vibration touch
I am trying to decide between the Red Magic 8 Pro and the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. I have a bit of extra cash and have never owned a flagship phone (current one is an S10 I bought the following year for half-price). I'm leaning more towards the ROG Phone. I realize that price-wise the RM8 is the more financially responsible thing to do, but I've always wanted a ROG Phone and the 7 Ultimate just looks fucking phenomenal. I'm willing to shill out the extra money.

ROG phone 7 was my first gaming phone I have ever gotten and it was pretty interesting as I bought it everything went fine till I was told my phone may not get an update due to different firmware on a phone that supposed to have CN version. So I thought and was think. Huawei has a app gallery but what does Asus have if it doesn't have google on the CN version. Did they have a alternative play store ?
Verify that VoLTE is working if you are considering to use this phone as a daily driver. ASUS has a history with some of their phones not having VolTE/VoWifi enabled and working.
All you have to do is check what bands it works on and whether your carrier supports said band. I'm with Mint Mobile (owned by T-Mobile) and everything checks out on their end. I imagine it will not work with Verizon/Sprint like previous models though.
U.S. variants of the 5,6, and 7 have VoLTE. It's very explicit, a switch in the settings and an icon in the notification area. These are whitelisted on AT&T, T-Mobile, but are blacklisted on Verizon. Fantastic range on all radios - beats Samsung hands down. Non-U.S. variant? You're playing Russian Roulette. No easy way to check compatibility using model and part numbers.
Compared to the design of the RedMagic 8 Pro, this design is ummm... a bit overdesigned. I looks ridiculous lol. I like the squared off look of the RM8Pro much better. Also, for this much money I would just get a Steam Deck and a Midrange/older flagship phone. OR buy the Asus Rog Ally

Why is it so expensive?!?! 1400$ ? The Redmagic 8 Pro costs less than half, has the same chip and already build in cooling fan! And it has a better looking screen as well. The only thing you lose is IP54 rating and a worse selfie camera (because under display camera). But is that really worth 700+$ ?
Cooling fan didn't help much. The fan is too small to cool the phone. And because it is a fan, you need to clean inside your phone every 1 years to prevent dust accumulations.
yes. i use my phone and watch utube in the shower. my rog 3 and 6 always gets wet. this no water rating even at the very least splash resistant is a no go.
