Kelly has been through alot. Her mom and dad got divorced when Kelly was six years old. He never wanted to be in her life after that. She tried to talk with him, but he didn't give her the time of day. Unfortunately her dad passed away when Kelly was doing the pilot to her show, The Kelly Clarkson Show.
Now Kelly is going through a divorce herself. Her daughter, River Rose is six and her son Remington is four. Brandon is Kelly's husband. He does get to see the children every weekend, but he lives in Montana and Kelly lives in California. She pays for the trips back and forth.
Kelly is so amazing! She is talented, uplifting, positive, down-to-earth, humble, and kind. She is a one of a kind.

This song came straight from her soul. She was singing about her father who abandoned her at 6 years old. Her husband is the one who picked her up and put her back together (emotionally) Sadly, I heard that they were going trough divorce proceedings. I believe they have 2 kids together. It's amazing how people can be in love and grow apart over time...but it happens...love the reaction @ Strong Lady D.

My kids said Dad you were the BEST , BUT YOU MUST LISTEN to this song . Just put our MOTHER instead of you in the song . I was a single father of 3 kids in the Military . Their Mother walked away , I never talked ill of her , but for 17 yrs nothing from her. Now she is trying to reconnect with ALL of us. The kids are very very wary of her . I AM FRIENDLY TOWARDS HER . But I also know she is Mentally handicapped , having Bi-polar , depression and another 1 I can't spell. This was a very powerful song .
