Tip: anchoring yourself in a turtling situation is only good when your wheel is completely broken and you're in an uncontrollable spin. If you anchor in a turtling situation in most instances, the drift from cannon hits and waves will cause your opponent to get behind you or in front of you. It is best in that scenario to simply adjust your angle as needed. In the event that your wheel is completely turned and broken, and you're demasted: anchor to maintain angle, apply pressure, repair wheel at nearest convenience, lift anchor when they sink or when you have applied sufficient pressure.
Just some advice, when you shoot your guns, especially your sniper, you should try switch weapons straight away to avoid the scope staying on your screen, either press stow twice, or switch weapons twice (or switch to the other once, doesnt matter) also try and ADS your blunderbuss more
@@hachtuu yeah man I’ve watched some tips on doing this I just haven’t implemented it in my games yet and I almost never ads my blunderbuss does it improve anything other than just aim?
@Bogwash yeah the spread of the pellets is alot closer together so you do more damage and can kill from further away. Also the blunder was hard nerfed, they made the spread even bigger by default so ads ing is basically needed if you want to do enough damage to kill

Thank you for the tip good sir, I will apply this in the next situation I need to
welcome to hg! just a decent tip: you should allways fight on left side cannon when you play sloop. (boat on left side can take 7 holes, right side 8)
Thank you man! Yeah I try to keep them on the left but sometimes I have to have them on my right for a few shots then return back to left!
Keep up the good work!
@@zeteny470 Thank you!
