I'm a Villa fan and we play so high we look like we could concede every game. We get wins, but not exactly solid at the back. Think Gianni is right on this one. Addition of Onana may help, especially from set pieces, but I wouldn't look to us for defenders.
Very good video. 😊 I agree with all of them for GW1 to swerve. Glad you spoke about Konsa and the Wood train as well. Villa also have CL football which could affect minutes/tiredness. Yes Forest have very good first 3 fixtures however not a team who seem to score a lot. Nuno is more than attacking than Cooper but not that much. 😅
As a Brighton fan Barco is hugely exciting to me. I dont think many people realise that he played many positions for boco juniors and he is not just restricted to a left back or left wing back. So even if pervis gets back into the team Barco may still be part of it. His set pieces are great and crosses, very low and hard and accurate. The new brighton manager already has him on set pieces when de zerbi and potter was 100% on gross when March was out and it never worked well.
I think the point about Chris Wood is spot on. He has been banished from my team, Forest was also linked with a portoguese forward yesterday which brings my interest to be even lower...
I have Raya and Flekken. Looking to ratoate them to avoid clashes. The only reason I went Raya was due to Arsenals CS rating from last season. Having Raya as the primary GK allows me not to worry too much on GK and rotate them through out the season avoiding clashes with top teams. But I also have Gabriel in Def.
Everyone is expecting the BPS changes to nerf the goalkeepers that depend on saves, so they're getting Raya because a clean sheet is now more valuable for goalkeepers. It's the cheapest way into a nailed Arsenal defender.
Also, just curious - why did CP transfer Olise? He seemed like such a good player and could have really helped the team this year - I loved seeing Eze and Olise create some great plays. Thanks!
I had Chris Wood in 1 draft one time, also Joao Pedro but both are out. JP wasn't in the pre-season in Japan. Wood....like you said Awoniyi will get minutes so Wood isn't a dead cert to start, definitely won't get full 90min for me (if Awoniyi is fit). Saka has never been in my draft due to your reasons. For very similar money, Palmer is a consideration, perhaps after the City game. For the same money, Son is a good pick, especially if Spurs don't sign a striker then Son will play up front instead of on the left.
Guys how does this draft sound? Miguel Saliba Gvardiol Mykolenko Salah Saka Nkunku Eze Fernandes Isak Watkins Vladimarsson Anderson Barco Stewart? Anything you’d change? Thanks 😊
Raya would have been the highest scoring keeper had he the played all the games of the season like Pickford did, remember Ramsdale played the three first games of the season, and the two Brentford games, that five games less, one or two clean sheets he would have been the topscorer, and don't see Everton coming 2nd on clean sheet again, Arsenal is by far the most reliable defence of the league and Raya the cheapest way in to it, don't get the hate 👀
My reason for picking raya is I want 1 arsenal defender all season and I'm saving 0.5 until the time is right to double up and we get a clear idea of who is the best value
One of the most boring defenders attacking wise in a meh defense with 8 CL games,a defender with rotation risk and a 5.5 GK who takes a very important spot are bold to avoid but Saka isnt...Okay probably you are a troll
raya had less points but remember that he did not start last season. 5 or 6 more games would have seen him become number 1 keeper and this season he is the best route to the arsenal defence imo
this. He only played 32 games. Using his PPM 4.2 x 6 = 25 points. 135 total + 25 = an extremely healthy 160. Yes, there'll be a cheaper goalie or two who'll get similar, but the question is who?
Unfortunately brereton diaz joined Southampton so not even armstrong is naled...i will probably go haaland isak watkins...i agree with everything you said...keep up the good work
@@GianniButtice_ nah - on safe ground - now if you had said Salah and Haaland- - that would have - as they say - put the cat among the pidgeons 👍🇮🇹🏴😂
I would not bank on Martinelli. Trossard is just too good, Martinelli is great of course, but the competition is too fierce. It's like banking on one of the four Liverpool attackers outside Salah, just not worth it. Wait and see.
Saka was England’s best player at the Euros, and I expect him to be fully fit and rested by gameweek 1. He’s a genuine captaincy contender in my team against Wolves. Raya is the most nailed and cheapest route to Arsenal’s defence; expect even Saliba to get rested with Timber able to play across the backline, including RCB like in preseason. Villa defence was pretty good before Kamara got injured. Expect them to improve following the Onana signing. Same goes for Newcastle. Wood’s underlying numbers are pretty good for a 6m forward; only carries minutes risk from Awoniyi.
Totally disagree on Saka and I actually just brought him back into my team, unlike Martinelli he's nailed, and unlike Odegaard his stats keep improving season by season, and it's good to have his price point to maybe jump to Palmer, Son or Foden later. I do agree 100% on Konsa and Burn, I don't understand why they show up in so many drafts. I've had Wood for awhile (before he was hyped up) so thanks for the insights there, I'll guess I might have to reconsider since I want safe picks as much as possible.
I hope Arsenal rests Saka. Even the most gifted among us need rest. Trust in the team, for each member has the ability to rise and shine. Believe in the collective strength, for together, they can achieve great things.
Finally someone start doubting Konsa picks
hahah its all subjective tho - no right and wrong here!

he got bigged up way too much in the euros
He didn't even get to 100 points last year.
@@captvimes He is a quality player but our defence is too exposed to be reliable for clean sheets.

same!!

yep easy pick!! so good
So what 4.5s are the best in your opinion?
Saka back in pre-season training this weekend is encouraging, but Arteta loves to flog him
he's so flogged - give the kid a break!
he has been playing injured surely he could do with a holiday and a rest
You deserve more subs bro; I always enjoy your videos a lot.
thanks man, very generous of you to say
I agree with you Gianni. Avoid Saka but until Game week 6 when it looks best to double up with an Arsenal attack
thats the plan
I think the point about Chris Wood is spot on. He has been banished from my team, Forest was also linked with a portoguese forward yesterday which brings my interest to be even lower...
I HOPE SO!
It's simple raya is the cheapest way into arsenal defense...at 5.5 he will be a deferential...

it is indeed but i'm still not sure he outperforms two 4.5's
That Raya piccy is very unflattering.... I would also add Foden to not pick for Gw1
yep maybe with him now being a mins risk
Gianni, what do think of Roger’s? I have Andreas. I can drop him and gain .5 and put that somewhere else for a better defensemen?
Also, just curious - why did CP transfer Olise? He seemed like such a good player and could have really helped the team this year - I loved seeing Eze and Olise create some great plays. Thanks!

yep the upside is there tho
Don’t get the Konsa hype either, he has not got mad attacking stats + I might want a Villa defencive slot for Maatsen if he starts the season strong.
Hi Gianni love the Dan burn pick I’ve seen him in so many drafts but I think he’s a huge minutes risk let’s wait and see!
agreed I also dont get why ppl like Dan Burn ?? hes so slow
yep

Miguel
Saliba Gvardiol Mykolenko

fair point
think the Konsa and Burn rotation is what people are looking at for the most part

fair - its all subjective
How much time do people think Archer will get at Villa, considering they'll be in Champions this year? He might be a good 5.0 3rd FWD?
wont get the mins
Raya is my gk to cover the arsenal defence and to have a set and forget saliba is nailed not much goal threat and Gabriel could get rotated
maybe but i think saliba x gabriel will be locked until injured
Except Saka, all others are fairly controversial and bold. Nice courage shown in this video Gianni.
thanks man, could bite me!!

good point
Hopefully they both start! Because brereton does really well behind a no.9
Trent + Bruno + Barco or Robertson + Son + Anderson?
Raya + Saliba, why not double up on the best defence in the world last season 💡
maybe i will - just not for GW1 ;)
I dont know if the best defence in the world generates a grand total of 0 trophies

Konsa champions league football; could be rotated aswell.

not sure he will be nailed tho
