Finally found this track again! Used to listen to it commuting by train at 3AM to work at the airport a couple years ago. The smooth atmosphere always hypnotized me and put me to sleep. Awakens deep melancholic and nostalgic feelings for me now
I used to listen to this pretty effed up coming home from the club over and over on repeat while watching the summer sun come up and glaring out at the Empire State Building out my window… I miss those moments so much, it was like I was on another planet away from this one 🪐 This kinda out of this world soundscape truly can take you there!
I think the video fits the song incredibly well and adds a lot of value to it. The track itself has a laid back and reflective tone, and the road symbolizes the life journey, which is like casually travelling down a road.
There is some magic in this kind of travelling video clips - in my opinion it perfectly fits the genre since I see Dub Techno as a genre of spiritual travel, so the video has a lot in common with the music itself :)
Last night i ate half a space cake whilst in Amsterdam for the weekend. It took a few hours to kick in but when it did, i put this track on and all i can say is that it took my on one hell of a journey. As someone who isnt onto drugs at all, it was special for sure.
I'm a nervous wreck...... I'm wondering though, if this vid was paired with cv313 "The Other Side", would I be less so...??? .....and yeah I know they don't fit....
Bone AliasAs far as i can tell it goes like this: CV313 is actually Stephen Hitchell. He is not part of deepchord the band. deepchord the band is Rod Modell, with or without Mike Schommer. Deepchord the label, is the label that is owned by Rod Modell and Mike schommer created in the 90's to release their early material, still operating now . 'echospace', most commonly known as "Deepchord presents echospace" is Rod Modell and Stephen Hitchell. Yes it is all the same genre, however, there are definitely subtle, and not so subtle differences between the different partnerships/artists. Hope that helps in some way. enjoy!
You are welcome. I also just realised that i did not mention, that there is also the Label owned by Stephen Hitchell called echospace[detroit] that he uses to release works that include his early cv313 stuff. As with most of these guys they all work together on different projects and release on different labels. And they have been going now for 25 years so that is a fair amount of time for collaborations to occur...
thanks for adding that info too it. i thought i had mentioned that, but hey, there seems to be a lot of cross pollination between all of these projects.

one of THOSE tracks.
Should we be silent and not speak, our raiment and state of bodies would bewray what life we have led since thy exile.

I feel this in the deepest parts of my soul, heart and mind. It's dub techno for the 21st Century and beyond.

A lovely, yet isolated, self indulgent moment has just been had. This musical journey is very sensual.

I love deepchord, but what's the need for all these aliases when it's all the same style?
