Oh my goodness Ironhorse that saw is gonna be wicked buddy. Love the ingenuity of this one. True leadership and commitment. Great stories of the good Ole days. Love ya brother thank you so much. Hello Cullen awesome to see ya buddy. 🌲❤🌲✊🪓
I love crazy projects nothing more fun for me. Yesterday I got to play with one of our toys a Case 300 tractor. One of the former owners built a big old cross cut circle saw that ran off the belt drive on the side of the tractor and mounted to the front. There is a table on the front of the device that slides a log into the blade. When cutting firewood with it the cuts seem to take more time but seems to be a bigger pile of cut wood after an hour.
HI IRON HORSE I can tell U a story just like that when I was 10 years there was a big buck w a rack U could put a tall 5 gallon bucket would fit in I don't how that deer 🦌 got through the woods like that it me ,dad and Otis that day I still can remember that just like it was yesterday 😊😅 OMG 3 23 2O23
I’m really looking forward to seeing this build take shape and the problem solving that happens. Great story Ironhorse 👍🏻 I remember taking some kids on a school hiking trip in Mongolia years ago. We were hiking up a foothill about 80 miles from anywhere towards a copse of fir trees where we’d decided to take a break and have a snack. The kids (6 & 7 year olds) were up roaming ahead about 20 meters from the trees when we spotted a HUGE bear rearing up on it’s hind legs just in the treeline. This thing must have been 4 meters tall. We all started shouting to the kids to get back down the hill but the bear just stood absolutely still, like a statue. Once the kids got back to us we stood and watched this thing for about ten minutes and it didn’t move a muscle - it was creepy. After a bit of conferring I decided to go and see why it was just standing there bolt upright and stock still. It transpired that some ingenious Mongol had killed a pair of yak, skinned them and stretched their hides between a pair of trees about ten paces in to the copse, one above the other, presumably to dry for processing into pelts. The kids had a good laugh at how we’d all freaked out and we carried on the hike, but funnily enough they stayed a lot closer to us for the rest of the day.
Would love to show you the Pioneer P51 we have on Nitrous. Was our test saw and was the first one to make a good cut when we were first playing with it.
Love it HARVEY your like the mad scientist of chainsaws ,,I'd say 99.9 % you'll get her might take a while but I got faith in you would love to see it run ✊✊✊ best wishes
You are absolutely an amazing builder of many engines small and I'm sure large engines absolutely enjoy your channel history of family that was great too need more! Hope I can help with the forum bullshit these people are obviously jealous of you they can't entertain the normal people they just stick to the gang you have to sign into to talk to me that's scared cats blow them off you are awesome keep up the great work !!
Haha love the bear/gas can story those black bears LOVE chewing on gas cans same thing happened to me twice now. Bear comes into camp and goes right for those 2 stroke mix jugs haha. Going to throw some whisky in there next time.😂 This is going to be an awesome build looking forward to it. 🍻 from 🇨🇦
I remember a story you told me on the phone Harvey when we were talkin bout that 44 we swapped There was a Oneida eagle bow in that conversation 😎👊👍Hope ya'll had a great Turkey day! Until the next one be safe Horse!!
You may be able to fit the handle on and you might get the cylinder to fit. The clearance to the flywheel should be doable and the carb with the reed valve may fit and the linkage might work to the trigger but there is no way I will bet you can’t do it.👍
Love the stories Sir. Good to see you both. My guess if you are attempting to make that saw mod work I would say 110% it will. Great vid as always. Be safe and be careful.
That p41 with a 78cc top end and reed valves will kick some serious butt!!! The control over the intake timing that the reeds afford vs the limited in comparison piston port arrangement will make some SERIOUS POWA! Use guys listen to Ol Uncle Harv - he’s got my gears turning now with this build ! Hey Harvey ... Do u have any 044,064 or 066 runners ya wanna part with ? Not worried bout plastic , just that they are runners thanks 😊
I think you will definitely pull it off, I’m doin something similar right now. I’m putting a ms460 54mm bore keeping it piston port on my motorized bike and I’m putting a ms660 56mm bore and turning my other motor into a case reed for my other motorized bike. I’ll be watching you while I’m grinding away. Feel free to watch some of my nonsense videos while your grinding away.
Would that saw with Husqvarna cylinder be a great candidate to be built with removable head to have a straight plug. Make it a dirt bike engine ;) LOL! How many crazy projects you have going on? Reed 372, 125mac and the other 1/53 mac + the other stuff..... Have you ever worked on Jonsered 920 or 930?
All of these pioneers I see look like they've been used hard. They must have been good saws. I've never seen one here in little old ohio. Nice work Hoss! Keep the "experts" crying. That "bear" sure did play a trick on you guys...
howdy harvey im in uk like your style all interesting ive just bought a p41 my first pioneer! very impressed with it year 1979 in amazing condition chuffed to bits with it quality saw! they dont make em like they use to! eh?
This is an interesting build! I have a P41 that needs a clutch bearing. Would you possibly be able to tell me what the dimensions are please and thanks.
I have 6 pioneer p41 .....if u need any parts or anything from them or I can just send a couple whole saws to u for that build..no charge if u r interested?
@@theironhorse6600 I see these saws all the time but a lot of them have next to no compression and tracking down parts is not fun. I am pretty sure that the pioneer 1100/1200 saws are the same as the homelite xl12
Way a ? P 41 be better to build 372 nicer saw citing wood I have 70 1 ton 2 w drive I drive antique ? Juck Ford's got news saws. And big load wood I cut 395. 661 12 14 load s a year or more
