Hi Jill, how are you doing? I planted 3 tomatoes and 6 peppers. I have 2 heads of cabbage for more sauerkraut!! I did 7 qts of veggie soup last week. Todsy, I went and found a place to dig some nativecplants and planted them. It started to rain then stopped. Iwas going to go water, but it got dark!! Hopefully, we'll get rain overnight. I'm loving this weather. My allergies aren't near as bad. I guess the rain is washing the pollen away. I could handle this year round. I have some hollyhock seeds from my cousin in Ohio. It says to just throw, not plant the seeds. This is my 3rd or 4th year trying to get a butterfly garden. I dig native plants and transplant, I must be too good to them. These I'll ignore once they get a drink. I had fresh buttered beets for supper. Loved the video!! Take care, God bless.
Everything looks great Jill! Had to put up rat trap for a sneaky dude keeps eating my beans down to the dirt. Got him and now beans are looking good. You are always my go to for inspiration 🥰 thank you
We ordered the weed cover from Hoss, our first time using one. We just got it put down early this week. But this cover has all the areas sectioned off. I believe there’s 8 rows and it’s 8 across spaced out for your tomatoes, beets etc… then the other end has longer spaces 3 across for like beans, squash etc.. I just planted my first round of what beans I’m growing this year. I am stumped though on where all the tomatoes are gonna go. I’m trying not to overthink this, but I am. I just don’t want them shading out anything. Our garden took 2 of the weed covers. I’m excited about it. God Bless from TN.❤️🥰
My nails are perpetually dirty from gardening. Keeps me healthy but not very nice to look at lol. Jill, your garden looks beautiful and bountiful. Praise the Lord.
Hey Jill 😊 Well we been watching the weather.. wow you’ll have had crazy weather like we are having down south Texas .. We been praying for you’ll Thanks for keeping us posted that you’ll are doing good Oh I love fried green tomatoes … we been eating dewberries and my green stock is full of strawberries plants and they have lots of strawberries 🍓.. your veggies look great .. great job We replanted our green beans and put in more tomatoes plants .. Jill do you have a recipe for can rotel or tomatoes.. if not no worries 😊 Take care love you and always in our prayers… Blessing 🥰 👩🌾
Y'all stay safe in these storm's. You're garden is looking amazing. We're trying to grow a little bit. Our growing season kicks off in a few more day's. Cool weather crops I'm worried about with temperature fluctuations, so we'll be throwing up shade cloth on them but next week I'll be planting tomatoes and peppers .
I planted Provident Bush and Roma II. They are doing very well. I plant beans with sweet potatoes and between my tomatoes. I have planted a bean plant anywhere and everywhere there was an extra spot. Something made fast work on my mint.
Your greens definitely look beautiful. Do you have a video on how long crops last after harvesting? I’m new to gardening so I’m trying to learn as much as possible.
The rain has been a blessing and a problem. I have a variety of issues happening with my tomatoes and I honestly think it's all due to too much water and I need to do something about drainage, even though I am not seeing puddling. I have trimmed them up trying to protect them from disease, but I think the rain is also messing with their ability to take up the minerals they need.
Wow awesome plants. Still feel gonna get another cold snap n ar. So haven't done much. May have to up pot my few tomatoes. We had a slight frost mon morning. Your goal is gorgeous
I'm not having much trouble with germination, but I am having trouble with stagnate growth of the seedlings - specifically amaranth, greens, and peppers.
Hi, The more you dig, The more weeds you'll get because your plowing thier seeds in under the soil. Charles Dowding ewetube channel is the best for learning the no-dig method with over 40 years experience up his sleeve. He does do some experimental dig rows & the no dig gardens do better 99% of the time. He's very gently spoken, as you are. They do very little weeding on " green acrea " property. Bean seeds need to be in an inch hole. But otherwise your gardens look Beautiful!!
I am in San Antonio... i planted pumpkin, tomato, bell pepper, peas and sunflower seeds this morning. I got a huge pile of wood chips in my driveway. I am so happy.
Ive been in my garden all morning..just coming inside to relax...Ive got peppers n maters hanging on my plants and squash n zucchinis!....Ive been working on improving my soil for the last 2 yrs..its a pain in the butt but sooo worth it!
Heard the news all the way over my way that Oregan decided to fine small farms for growing food or shut down permanently. I would be suing the city, Governor, and all elected officials for that.
I live in Medford, Oregon. They are going to surveil small farms from the satellites and shut them down to conserve water. At the same time, there are apartment complexes of 100 and 200 units and new carwashes are going up everywhere.
@@sandydennis7948 I normally don't get sue happy, but in this case, I would sue over this very thing. They are secretly making 15 minute cities and will say its for job creation. It isn't. Its a prison. How will you get your food? Wonder if you can grow food indoors? Like a shed or in the home?
Had to replant carrots finally growing. Planted 2nd planting of lettuce and radishes. Potatoes in a bucket. Tomatoes are growing well. Waiitng for garlic to be ready. Hoping to plant peppers tomorrow
Your gardens look wonderful. Your haircut is beautiful! We are praying for y'all to do well in the storms. God bless and keep your family. Y'all are doing such a a good job. 🌷💗
I'm about to plant a green bean bed, bush variety. I'm late to the game of planting them., which makes no sense because they are a staple in my family.
Been up-potting herbs and flowers today. Other plants are ready, but have a couple more weeks before I can plant too much more. Will be sticking plants/seeds anywhere and everywhere!
Bummer about your beans!!😮 ❤get your row covers, you can grow just about the whole season with those🎉🎉🎉 great variety of veggies!!! With the heat coming I think you'll be glad you couldn't plant outside ❤❤

I love the holy basil I got from you. It is so fragrant! Also my Heavy Hitter okra seeds are all germinated.
Prayer cover for us all through the storm.

Our dogs love carrots too. Caught one of them pulling them up and chowing down on them!

I’m new at gardening. I’m starting from seeds. The veggies inside not doing too well. The one’s outside are doing better. I also have flowers to.
I’m also in Texas.
I just pulled my first harvest of carrots . Tomorrow is canning day.
Praying that you don’t get hit with any damaging weather 🙏
Yes..I am. Bucket and container garden cuz it’s just me ♥️
Me too! Central Texas caliche is too rocky. Plus, I can sit and garden. 😊
@@sharonabels2509 We had to go "above ground plots" in Saginaw for the same reason. But we had better control of the soil as a result.

Thank God for the rain!

Sadly, I am not, except for a few potted herbs.
EVERY little bit helps.
Just came in from my backyard garden and saw this. Good timing! 😀❤

What do you spray for chewers?
We may have a frost warning for tonight here in Ohio. The garden plot has been weeded and tilled---but we won't start planting until May!
What is BT?
Organic insecticide
bacillus thuringiensis - BT
What do you spray chewers with?
BT

I use a hoola hoe and it works great for weeding in small spaces.
