- Welcome!
Thank you for visiting with tThe Creative Cove. My name is Michele and I am the creator behind this channel.
I love to share techniques, ideas and materials to help inspire your creative journey.
Todays tutorial is a fun loos app Roche to tree painting. I love the results. You can chose any tree and any colours and just let your imagination go.
I try to include step by step instructions so you can paint along with me.
Happy Crafting!

Your teaching method has changed my life ! Your easygoing style is so much fun and in the last 2 weeks you’ve converted an “I can’t draw” person to a “Wow, I didn’t know I could do that” so thank you so very much. I’m loving this new me…and I love your LAUGH 😊♥️
That makes me so very happy to hear. That’s why i do these videos and thank you for that. 😊
I grew up in a small village in Ontario, Canada and your tree reminded me of the ones around Georgian Bay. Thank you
❤❤❤ Oh my friend....you ARE a watercolourist!!! I absolutely LOVE your loose style!! STUNNING!!!
I love your videos! Just one friendly aside: archival means it is long lasting (able to be archived), like acid-free paper is archival because it does not deteriorate as much with age. What you are referring to is an ink's ability to be waterproof so it will not run when wet. 😃
Thank you 😊
The way you can turn scribbles into something so beautiful is amazing. Love these shorter videos.
Aww thank you 😊
You don't have to fake it, you are a watercolor artist! Love this tree, I'm going to try your method right now! Thanks for another great video 🥰
Aww thank you 😊
Brilliant! I love pine trees, too. 💚🌲😊
Very nice! You're the first instructor I've followed who took a stab at a redwood.
Awesome! 😊
I love this style of watercolour, the flowy, loose method of drawing/painting is so fun ☺
Thank you me too 😊
I enjoyed watching you paint, you’re definitely a watercolor painter in my book! 😊
I love your approach to watercolour and art generally! Thanks so much.
"I'm not a watercolor artist..." and that is a lie! LOL! I have been painting with watercolors for decades and if I can consider myself a watercolor artist, so can you! This was a fun demo! I know that at times one can feel so very inadequate in a medium, but when you can paint this tree, in the book you made and it worked, you can no longer be in denial. One of my favorite WC artists was just talking about taking classes. It isn't because she cannot paint, but that she decided she needed to know more in a certain area. That doesn't negate what she DOES know! Paint on, keep those brushes wet!
Thank you so much. I just feel that there is so much to explore in this medium and I have still so much to learn. 😊
@@thecreativecove6898 You are right about that assumption! The drop your jaw fascination about paint and what it does. I believe is ONLY a watercolor thing. None of the other media do that! I think that watercolor is the only one that the real pigments make a difference. There are some that are not lightfast and they are always the exception. I think there are few watercolorists who think they have learned it all... and they move on to other media. :D Enjoy the process!
Michelle, I love all your posts. You have a great artistic style and sense of play. I will happily follow you along the artistic path.
Another great idea to try out! This looks a quick but very effective use of all the colours you mix to reproduce tones in pine needles and the light on the tree. Thanks.
Who knew you could draw a tree like that, it’s beautiful, I love it!❤
Thanks. And lots of fun 😊

You got a shout out from Amy at crafty cat. I hope you get some new subscribers. I’m enjoying this tutorial. I wonder how long you have to paint with watercolor before you can call yourself a watercolor artist I took ten plus years of painting lessons I now have such difficulty with my vision but I love to play with paint. Blessings from Western Canada 🇨🇦
What watercolor paint do you use,,thanks for creating to all of us who love watching you ,,hugs
Just a quick question. Will you be doing any quick sketches of animals i.e. cats, dogs, horses goats, hedgehogs and the like? Would love to see how you approach them.
