I went to the Education City Mosque and it is awesome. You are right that Doha is a really clean city along with Abu Dhabi and Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur isn't too bad either

You just go and visit the Qanat Quatier in the evening time which is in the middle of The pearl. It’s full of restaurants and fast food. Really nice in the evening time.

We visited Qatar many times - but I have not seen this mosque before. The five pillars are: 1. We believe that there is only one God and Mohamed (Peace be upon him) was the last messenger. Aside: after Adam, Moses, Jesus etc) 2. Stand for prayers 5 times a day. (relation to the sun's position like dawn, noon, afternoon, sunset and night prayer) 3. Give charity (on our saving NOT earning) 4. Fast from sunrise to sunset in the month of Ramadan 5. Perform pilgrimage once in our life when by the means. Just felt like sharing : )))))

You could walk into Islamic Center there next to the tailor. It looks a mosque but it is Islamic center. I was there the whole day before leaving at 5pm. You can visit us next time when you are collecting your thawb. I don't know if they would allow live recording on social media since it is a government but you can permission

Those are the [rightly] guided. [It is] as bounty from Allah and favor. And Allah is Knowing and Wise. And if two factions among the believers should fight, then make settlement between the two. But if one of them oppresses the other, then fight against the one that oppresses until it returns to the ordinance of Allah. And if it returns, then make settlement between them in justice and act justly. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly. The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allah that you may receive mercy. O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of disobedience after [one’s] faith. And do not spy or backbite each other. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his brother when dead? You would detest it. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is Accepting of repentance and Merciful. I think they were praying outside of the mosque. If they went inside they would have taken off their shoes before praying. Also their feet were not on the small prayer rugs they were using, they were standing off the rugs with their shoes but kneeling and prostrating on the rugs.

What's the temperature over there during the day? From what I remember, this time of the year, it's cooler and around 27 during the day (roughly).
I think today about 25c, and cool at night. Down to about 15-16c in the evening. It's like summer in the UK, it's lovely.
Education city mosque has the mosque on one side and our campus (HBKU-CIS) on the opposite side

Of course No we didn't pray with shoes

The prayer was outside the actual masjid.
It was also the practice of the Prophet peace and blessings be upon him to pray with his shoes at times
