I Got Act Don't React with a Yin Yang printed on my coffee mug. It's helped me out ALOT seeing that message at different times in my life. The whole message behind this show is SO POWERFUL.
I think without it being written in..........Gabrielle also left to figure out her orientation...since Xena has to save her constantly and she's used to handling her issues alone or with her family. So she's trying to figure out that balance. Thing is Xena doesn't mind saving her and will do it a million times over.
Pretty sure that's one of the main reasons Xena didn't want to take Gabrielle with her and attempt to love again....and risk her heart getting broken. She really loved Borias too!
@@angelabariteau I think that's more of your interpretation than Xena's. I've only watched the first 2 seasons, but I've never seen Xena being afraid of getting hurt, emotionally or physically. At the end of this episode, she welcomes Gabrielle back without acting defensively. She doesn't keep distance afterwards. Xena is mentally very strong. That's why she's such a badass I guess. She has such conviction and self-confidence.
Literally, the whole thing was Xena's fault. Gabrielle reacted perfectly but Xena picked her up only to tell her to...do what she had been doing already. The writing made NO sense and ruined the scene for me.
Wrong. Gabrielle laid down where the truck or whatever it was would have ran over her. She laid down way too soon and on the wrong place. Xena fixed it.
Didn't Gabrielle just fall? She wanted to reach for Xena but she stumbles on that rock. Xena then picked her up because she hadn't thought yet of what to do and she wanted Gabrielle to be ready to escape. That's when she realizes that the best thing to do is to lie down.
I love how soft Xena is with Gabrielle.... Ugh. I love them together so much.
That look on Xena's face when Gabrielle leaves makes you want to cry. She looks so brokenhearted.
Anything but not Gabs!
Gabrielle is being ALL KINDS OF DRAMATIC when she has NO IDEA what is gonna come her way in seasons to come.
Yup
C'est la vie !
I preferred this Gabrielle. At the end of the show she was jaded and broken. Her uniqueness is more obvious in the earlier seasons.
@@samhart4205 true.
@@samhart4205 I agree with you. I love Season 1 Gabrielle. Her charm was infectious.
Poor Gabrielle. She lost confidence in herself.
Xena is such a good warrior
Nice bit of fighting, nice bit of soul searching and philosophising. And Xena looks beautiful as always 😍

That shows Lao Ma's teachings were intact with Xena. Good!
I've never forgotten that line either. It stuck with me all these years.
4:07!😢 I tear up with Xena..
Very important message Here in this scene
I love how Gabrielle is scared before first hit :))))
If I'm crying like I always do watching this episode? If I cry watching Xena?... Imagine it, never 😭😭😭😭😭 Xena is Gabrielle's home!
This would've needed one giant hug at the end... also loving the sound effects 1:41 - 1:44
All Xena had to said to Gabrielle is to stay down.
Terri Schott she was lying the wrong way and place I think
Xena's broken heart.....
Poor Xena!!!!!! :-( :-(
4:07 Gabrielle broke Xena's heart😭😭😭😭😭🤧
Her face! She looks so sad!!!!!!

We’ve been it tighter spots than this! 😶..... 🤣
I Love you so much 😍
@@stephaniefaypage8028 omg give it a rest

@@imane111 it's not obvious at all, they totally ignore her first, quick reaction and focus on her freezing.
