@LiLowHouse Hello LiLowHouse, You're welcome! Glad you liked it. I don't use a tripod-bag, I mean these things are study enough were I don't feel like I need one because it would be really hard to break. I've dropped this thing a few times (from wind) and it's held up perfectly. Thank you, Mitchell
Thanks a lot for your clear review. I bough this combo here in Spain and I want to use it with a Canon fx100, wich is a rather "light" camera , hope the stabilization works too. Again your video covers everything I needed. Best Regards.
Hi there, Thanks for the great review. I've got the same set-up but was wondering what tripod bag you use? I'd prefer not to have to unscrew the tripod head every time I pack it away. Do you know of any cheap tripod bags that will fit both? Cheers
hi quick question! could you still use the slider feature with this head or even the smaller 701 head? or do you have to buy a separate ball head for it to work. Because im not sure if this or the 701 can tilt up or down enough so that the camera is straight when on the slider feature. thank you!
Anybody know if your buy the bowl type kit can you take the Bowl off the 501HDV and put it on a regular tripod?? I have a slider and wanted to use it with my 501 but it came bowl kit and not sure if I can take the bowl part off the bottom and put it on a normal photographic tripod mount..? Thanks for any help

@daswani87 Thank you! Sorry for the long reply.. never noticed this comment. I filmed this on a Nikon D5000, you can find them pretty cheap now!
@TekCloud Hey, the tripod/legs together was about $500 from B&H.
E' lo stesso che mi hanno regalato a Natale! It is the same as that gave me at Christmas!

Have you uploaded any video shot on it?
I just found out the 501 isn't fluid. It uses teflon plates.
Is that good or bad?

Nice review, but why did you record right into the sun?
Are you sure 501HDV is fluid? Cause in their description they say it has Teflon plates ( and they suck) and no fluid?
(newbie here) what 'sucks' about Teflon plates?

I am new to using these fluid video heads. What video legs do you recommend to go with it?

Do you have any videos shot with this?
