I have seen a lot of TN memory keeping ideas and videos and I have to say that watching this one I kept saying, "Oh, I love how you added that page in, or how you added a spot for hiding journaling, or added in that half a page!" Why I have never thought to attach a page part way under a large photo/patterned paper glued onto the facing page is beyond me, hahaha. Thanks for showing this all together and then linking to each one for me to watch later. Love them all.
The garden notebook!!! Might totally be stealing that idea. If you wanted to roll out one specifically for that in the future, I'd put a few in my cart without second thought...
You are just so creative - I know you probably hear it all the time! But just the way you consistently reinvent and create new ideas in your storytelling. I love ALL.OF.THESE.TRAVELERS.NOTEBOOKS. They are simply amazing Ali :)
Love this video so much! The timing was perfect since I am doing Dec Daily in a notebook and most of my documenting for 2023 will be in notebooks. I will be adding some albums here and there for special projects. Thank you for sharing this.
I'm just diving into the Traveler's Notebooks. I'm like you..."nah, I don't need to do yet another size album." We recently found out that we are going to be getting 2 grand babies (our firsts) this fall and I decided that the TN's would be a manageable size to do this documenting. Both sets of expecting parents live about 2 hours from us, so I'm excited to document our part from afar. Can't wait to tag along with you in our somewhat new journey! Thanks for this video, it came at the perfect time for me. You are so inspiring.
I enjoy creating in all sizes, Travelers Notebooks included. Congratulations Natalie Petersen on your coming Blessings! Such wonderful news! 2 hours isn’t such a Journey when your heart is there!!!
I love journals for travel, major life changes, and self care journaling! Thanks for sharing! It definitely inspires me to do more. I do half and half clean and busy layouts but they save so much space! I definitely love so many of your products for just that reason. Everything is well made and holds up to my needs.
So, so good! I need to pick up another Pieces of Home notebook. We were just getting ready to move when the community did the project, and I knew I wanted to use that notebook for our home we were leaving. But I wanted to do it as a look back, almost like a tribute, to that home. It's where we lived when we first got married, had our first pets, brought our son home, and lived there for almost 17 years. LOTS of memories and love! I'd also like to have one that documents our new house; just to show the difference in the houses. Always enjoy these videos, Ali! Thanks for taking the time to show your notebooks! Loved seeing them!
I love to see all your notebooks at once. They are beautiful. I have never tried documenting in a notebook. I just ordered the combo with the 3 pieces of me, pieces of home and pieces of the past. It will give me a chance to tell those stories, and to use all those papers that I love and that are untouched !
LOVE these & I'm doing more journaling in this style. I hope you will restock the Pieces of Home notebooks. I want to get a few to document places we've lived in the past and would love to use the same notebook for each one. Thanks again for all the inspiration!
Hi Ali!!! I just love so much this video! Because I documented 2021 into a traveler’s notebook for the first time ever and this is so inspiring! It would be amazing if you share with us a video about how you print and edit your photos for this size of album! Xoxo from México 🇲🇽
Hi! I generally follow the same steps as in this video: ruclips.net/video/MmRYhCNCEbE/видео.html and size the photos for a full page in a notebook to 4.25 inches x 8.25 inches and trim down the width when I adhered the photo into the notebook.
I love, love, love how the adventure insert turned out. I ordered a few things from ya including the title on your cover. Okay it's going on the front of this year's travel insert (I'm not going far this year lol).
I am hoping my comment inspires to consider the possibility to re-release the Pieces of... Collection for folks like me found the recent Pieces of Joy and would love to document past subjects. Adore the idea of notebooks which is also new to me and would love the opportunity to expand my storytelling projects.
Hi! I generally follow the steps outlined in this video: ruclips.net/video/MmRYhCNCEbE/видео.html. I size the full pages in the notebooks to 4.25 inches x 8.25 inches and then trim the width if I need to :).
This was a great video!!!! Loved it! I think that summer notebook is my favorite thing you've ever made. So many clever and interesting elements inside. I have a question....in your travel class, do you address the issue of how you handle the pairing down of photos from a trip? I've never heard you talk about that but you seem to be skilled at being very decisive and using just a few photos and letting the rest go. I am about to tape a show about this because I'm struggling to find a solution for myself. I go on 2-3 day trips a LOT and then what I do is when I come to those on my camera roll, I skip over them and say "I'll make a whole album about those later." I really don't even take that many photos except when I'm traveling but then I never scrap those because I don't know what the solution is. I can't make an album about every trip but then to put them in a yearly album seems odd because I often have 100 photos from a 3 days trip. So do I pair them down and just use 10? Do you have any hard and fast rules about this? This has been going on for 20 years and I've made like one big travel album, the rest never get printed! I need a better plan! This is the main thing I need to figure out for my scrapping right now - I'm determined to get this fixed! Would love to hear you talk about this or if you've talked about it in that class, I can take that. Thank you!! :)
Hi Tracie! I'm not sure how much I talk about dealing with photos in last year's Travel Class (those Start to Finish workshops usually include some of that but not as much from an overall approach to travel documenting). I did talk more about it in Stories Of Travel (a more comprehensive look at how I often approach travel documenting): www.aliedwards.com/shop/classes/stories-of-travel-self-paced. If you haven't taken that one you might really like it! Bottom line for me is I never have any intention of including ALL the photos I take on any given trip or experience. I generally use them as a guide to my storytelling and pick the ones that help me tell the story I want to tell from the trip (sometimes that might even just be one photo and other times it's a whole album). I almost never approach my stories of travel in a we did this + then this + then this (all facts) - it's generally includes a few facts and then more documentation of feelings + including the photos that I love most (which aren't always the ones that people might expect to be included). I do really love the notebooks especially for those shorter adventures (which I sometimes take with me + sometimes don't - just depends on the trip).
@@AliEdwardsDesignInc thank you! And you're okay with the rest of them just living digitally somewhere? I need to come to terms with taking tons of great photos and never scrapping them. Like not even planning to. I know it's not reasonable to think I can scrap even all my GREAT photos. Thanks, I will take your class soon too. If you're ever looking for topics to explore here in these videos, I know I'm not alone in wanting to know more about your process for choosing which photos you scrap and which you let go or let live digitally forever. :)
100% okay not using them + having them live on the computer. I also do take a lot less than I used too because I know I can’t use them all + I can be totally happy with even just having one photo from a trip to illustrate the story I tell.

Thank you for sharing this! I ordered all of these stamp sets and pieces of the past TN’s and was looking for inspiration. ♥️♥️♥️

Lots of great ideas. I need to use this size more. I love the one we made for WITL 2020.
I love these. Thank you so much for sharing these notebooks 💕
This is awesome! Thanks for sharing! ❤
It’s really gorgeous! LOVE your style! Totally different from other TN styles. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing Ali! Would love a video of you putting together a notebook similar to the empty nest notebook you showed.
I am using the 7x9 traveler notebook for the story of self class in the rainbow folio. Love the size
I am using the 7x9 tn for the story of self class. Love it.

Our team is considering this possibility! Thanks for the request! I love the project too.
Loved your notebooks. I’m just starting… how do you get your photos to the size of the page?
