    No other choir can match the pomp and pageantry done by the St. Paul's Cathedral Choir on this song. The drama and majesty can't be duplicated. Superb and magnificent are just two words that can describe this performance.

    This is as good as it gets. Music by one of the world's best composers, performed by one of the finest choirs in the world, led by one of the best musician the world has known.
    RIP: John Scott
    Soli Deo Gloria

    Magnificent!!! Simply astounding!!! This is perhaps the best composition of John Rutter and the fact that it was performed by the great St. Paul's Cathedral Choir make it more grandeous.

    "Praise Him with the sound of trumpet" for those who enjoy some good St Paul's Choir.

    God hath gone up with a merry sound, the Lord amidst the blaire of a trumpet. Alleluia!

    This composition is probably the crown jewel in Rutter's cannon.

    I need more Royal Jubilees or solemn celebrations of History in these tragic modern times. I'll respectfully, defer to Albert Camus, "There was the Golden Age, the age, however, is our age, GILD IT!" I can think of no better way than intelligent dialogue and this beautiful Liturgy.

    @InQuires I already knew it was Rutter's music. Judging by the way he worded his comment, it seemed like he was saying Rutter was somewhere in tthe video. Looking more closely, however, I see where he was simply responding to someone else's question.

    @bulteel1 I have to say to you personally, OUTSTANDING job. I felt that the boys trio added this angelic mysticism to the piece. the first time i heard it it gave me chills. i feel like im talking to a celebrity just by writing this to you. which one were you?

  • @InQuires

    @71259mark at 00:07 seconds, John Rutter is listed in the title card as the composer of this setting of the 150th Pslam. John Rutter the person is not in this video, to the best of my knowledge. Just the name.

    And isnt' that the late and much-lamented John Scott conducting?

  • @InQuires
    @InQuires  14 лет назад +1

    @71259mark I think he's saying that the piece is composed by John Rutter, not that John Rustter is in the video.
