- The parish of Mós is about 600 meters high, has 246 inhabitants in an area of 58.69 km², located between the rivers of Mós and Santa Marinha. It is surrounded by several elevations such as Monte da Forca Velha, Lagareira, Lagarinhos and Forca Nova. Former Medieval Village received charter from D. Afonso Henriques in 1162. It had a castle, of which the walls of the small fence it owned remain. With an oval shape and an open door to the south, it was an important sentinel of the borderlands. In 1836, the municipality of Mós was extinguished and annexed to Torre de Moncorvo. In addition to the village, the parish had several population centers of which only Quinta das Centeeiras remains inhabited. The trajectory of this village at the end of the Middle Ages and Modern Age, seems to be one of decay and depopulation, observing in parallel the growth of the only place in the term, Carviçais. In 1372, in the context of the wars with Castile, D. Fernando would end the Torre de Moncorvo with the places of Mós and Vilarinho da Castanheira,

The abandoned state of the place makes it difficult to characterize the urbanism within the walls , however, there is a structuring axis in the N/S direction, which they call the right street. Outside the walls, the outskirts were developed around the square where the Casa da Câmara and the pillory were located, which grew along the main exit paths towards Freixo de Espada to Cinta, Barca d'Alva, the Tower from Moncorvo or Miranda
