I wish they did some ghostbusters 2 plasma series figures and Ecto 1 A
And the video game version of ecto1b
Or even a line of classic ghosts like slimer, zombie, taxi driver, vigo, or even the grey lady from the library.
I ordered one but not sure how to feel. No lights, no sounds? The Playmobil one did it, why couldn’t Hasbro?
This looks great and very detailed.
I love this! I totally missed out on the Target exclusive dirty version and I am glad I did. THIS was worth the wait! Can’t wait for the official figures. I made a custom set using Star war at-st figures and Playmobil proton packs. Keep up the great work! Now… we just need a 1/12 version for our plasma boys

Got mine on pre order from Hasbro Pulse UK. I believe after it sold out they made a second round of pre orders available that will be delivered later than the first batch.
I gotta say that the Ecto-1 car looks very detailed and I love how they added some of the details on top of the Ecto-1 car and some on the inside of it as well, looks pretty neat 👍🏻👻🚫😁
I'm getting mine in the mail today! Can't wait to get the figures to go with it and make a little diorama with Stay Puft lol
My one problem with the 84 version is that the hose is going over the roof rack which after analyzing afterlife, frozen empire, and the original. The only time the hose goes up and over the roof rack is in afterlife.
That being said: since the hose is a flexible rubber plastic. You can put the hose under the roof rack by stuffing it under the rack. It is a bit tricky but it works (for anyone wanting their 84 version to be a bit more screen accurate. Also the radar on the back of the rack as well as the roof gun is missing the paint that the afterlife version has. The plain red of the gun is a real ghostbusters color. In all the movies that feature it on the roof, the box is white-ish
Also they missed the paint on the white light on the front of the roof rack

What would you say is the best 1:18 scale Ecto?
The first one that comes to mind is Hot Wheels' 1:18 diecast, so I'd go with that. Prefer the 1A slightly over the 1, but either is great.

I just wish the rear driver's side door opened on this one. Wouldn't that make it easier to get figures in and out of it? After all, it is made for figures this time.
As far as I know, the rear driver side door is meant to not open. There is no point to opening it on that side as there is equipment right there. No seat. I believe this is true to the original movie. That side was not used. The seat was removed for equipment. So this would be accurate. Also, sorry to say it looks like the figures in the front will be able to fit. The two back seats seem to be too high to let figures sit withoigh hitting their heads. Saw some videos show that. So unless they make the figures smaller than standard 3 3/4 they will only fit in the front.
@@HFalconYT Ok, thanks for the heads up about both of those things. I hope the figures can all fit. And at least the Ecto is accurate in regard to the driver's side.
only complaint is the chrome could look better but over all amazing ecto model

I just opened mine and I'm very upset. Hasbro pulse sent me one with duplicate antennas. The didn't send the one that goes on the side. No kidding. I emailed them and they want tons of information about my order before they can possibly help me. And now they're sold out. I'm a major GB collector and I'm so upset and disappointed.
My dad was gonna order this for me but then it went out of stock :(

I don't know why they had to not put the silver/chrome on the top of the tailfins. It was there on the afterlife version so why not put it on this new version. Makes no sense at all and comes off them being cheap.
Because to the “1984 Only” people, literally anything involving another movie sets them into fits of rage.
@brunswicksquaremusic5905 What? Your comment makes no sense. Where did I say anything about changing anything from 1984 or from a different movie set? All I said was not putting the silver paint on the top of the tailfin that should be there on ALL versions of Ecto-1 when they had it in the previous version seemed cheap. There was no reason for them to remove it.
@@HFalconYT You said it was like that on the Afterlife toy. True 1984-Only purists would self-combust knowing that their toy had anything in common with those evil sequels.
@brunswicksquaremusic5905 No I said that because it is supposed to be there. It was on the original first Ecto as well. It's part of the 1959 Cadillac tailfin. The Chrome goes around it on all edges. I only mentioned the afterlife version because on that version of the model you can see they had it but didn't bother with this version. Making it look like they are being cheap.

I just snagged one of these from a GameStop out of town I had a GS gift card from my birthday and I only paid 35 with tax nice!
So basically the 4 pack figures could fit in the 1:18 old hotwheels elite model 👍👍

They look okay standing next to it, however do not fit inside.
I was gonna pick one up for myself but the colours on the roof parts being incorrect and the blue tubes going into the top really bugs me

Yeah they just reused the Afterlife versions tubes instead of redesigning them.
