Euge, I've been subscribing to your channel since I couldn't pronounce your name and now I can a little bit :) Always love your gear review because you always play a nice intro music. Lastly, I also learn about dialing in amp through your amp demo. Keep up the good work.
Euge, one of the reasons I like your channel is the way you look like you're just having waaay too much fun lol. You get that little smile going especially when the Gods Of Tone line up behind whatever you're playing through on any given day, and everything sounds freaken _galactic._ I can really relate because this is essentially whst i do all day every day, just grab a bunch of guitars and record music, write music, be music. I wouldnt trade it for anything.
@@myuncle2 i agree, which is surprising considering the absolute premium price on this, meanwhile line6 got their 5150 model sorted almost 10 years ago in the helix at this point..
Thank you for playing my song. The original original from back in the day is still my number 1 song. In the church band, all of my solos are composed using P78. Whatever key, it doesn't matter. The major scale is the major scale. I didn't hear any piano in your playthrough, lol.
Excellent demo and review Euge !!! I love your playing style, fluid vibrato and all your videos. You rock \,,/..\,,/. Keep them coming !!! All the best to you sir !!!
Damn i need that pedal...from the time you tested the same Lead channel settings with different guitars - it sounded spot on to my 5150 Blockletter and i even liked the micing of the cabinets and im really picky about that. Awesome!
I have a suspicion there will be some more high gain models like this. Maybe SLO, Recto, Uberschall. If they were adventurous they could do a Krank or something like that.
imo it needs some work still. Maybe the next version will be closer. Needs more warmth and fullness. If it's not any better than a free amp sim, then it's obviously not worth buying.
It's cool, I would be more interested if it was a straight SLO-100 pedal, albeit it's a nice one stop shop for a metal tone, no need for IR purgatory or other dialing in,
Tere Euge, kannattaako tätä vekotinta ostaa jos omistan tän Cortexin?? ps... saakeli kuule on hyvä channeli mitä seurarata :), on mun makuun ku täsä on niin paljon tätä 80-90 lukuun metallin sekä puhtaan kitaran ääntä :)
I played it. It’s very very close. The only thing that’s lacking. Is that sag . But for 400 bucks I’ll chip in another 200 or so and get a use 6505 . Or I just stay with my tonex
@@kingpriapatius5832 nothing replaces tubes . But every venue has stairs and/or you’re playing at a venue where there’s four other bands playing that night so tear down set up is crucial and I don’t think drunk people notice whether you’re playing through a digital rig, modeling rig or even just a peddle board set up with a power stage, shoot Joe Satriani on his latest album or whatever you call these days what do you say these days anyway he said he recorded his latest project. Let’s put it that way with a plug-in because of how Music is nowadays and how people listen to it streaming on their phones and stuff so I’m not gonna argue with Joe Satriani.
@Waycooljr5 Joe's using digital now? That's surprising. When I saw him for the Elephants of Mars tour he was using two jvm410s. I spent half the time trying to see what channels and settings he was using lol.
@@countzero5150 yeah I watched an interview with him and that’s what he said. He explained something about how you know we listen to music differently now where we used to buy CDs and on the radio and like it, EQ frequencies or stuff or different some something or other with streaming services, so yeah he just reported recorded everything with plug-ins
In a pedal that size and price they could and should have used a 12AX7 tube for distortion and make it actually sound good. But noooooo, they're still peddling cheap and scratchy sounding transistor Distortion. It sounds like a 100€ practice amp distortion through a line out.
Euge playing great while the pedal sounds meh. It has a furry top end that’s very unpleasant. I couldn’t say whether the actual amp sounds like that, but I just know I sure don’t like it.
Maybe the best guitarist who wears his influences clearly on his sleeve but still has his own style permeate through.
Van Poisoned Lion
Vito Van DeVille
I like your gear reviews better than most others on RUclips.
Euge is great because most others are clowns. I am not sorry to say this. Most channels care about humour, promotion and views. This is the real deal.
@@kingpriapatius5832 Yep, no bullshit on this channel. Straight to the point.

I don't know what I like more your pure talent or your intro

the whole line of pedals they did are amazing
Farty IMHO. The pedal of course. Euge as usual pure gold.
Yes
fizzy and cold, not different from an old line6 pod.

Love your demos / tests. And your playing is always inspiring !

Hey man very good demo! You always have such amazing tones ❤

Besides your great very well-defined videos, great playing and great attitude, I always really like your conclusions. They always save me money.
5150 Block letter on a box sounds really good i like it , Sweet playing rock on!
AB test would be amazing
excellent playing
Thanks!
Euge "John Sykes" Valovirta. I've been practicing Bad Boys for three days now. I love it.

Great video and playing as always..I like the sound and like always regret getting rid of my EVH signature Peavey 5150 head.
Whooo great pedal and more great hand Euge, thx for vid ...
Juicy VH balance style feel 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Heard some Van Leppard and Def Halen vibes 😅🤟🏻 in a good way indeed 👍 awesome playing and video 🔥
I hear the Panama, excellent stuff!

great esp franken strat is this a seymourduncan 78 pickup in the bridge
This pedal really is great. What is it that you are using from drums? Krimh?
I bought this pedal and so amazed with it, love your video please make one of the uad Lion68

can it use 2 different cabs in estereo? Im considering this Anti or a HX Stomp or a 6505 +112combo, its almost the same price
Just buy the combo.
When did you change the neck?😮
Can you put it on a pedalboard?
For Dissection/Watain/Necrophobic guitar tone. Would you advise the UAFX Anti or the UAFX Lion (Plexi) pedal?

This intro song sounds familiar?
It's a good pedal but it cannot be compared to a 5150/6505. I will watch the comparison video when it's out!

@@Waycooljr5 Cool. It's cool for touring and use it on the FX loop of a tube amp, but a transistor pedal cannot replace an amp with 10 tubes.

@EugeValovirta this is the best channel on RUclips all the cool gear you can shred and let’s not forget about the bad boy
In the room I've never come across a distortion pedal that is anywhere near as good as a tube amp.

Killer as always…but for $400 I think I will pony up and get the real deal.
Sounds killer but $399 pricepoint - ouch
Me likee
I kinda don't like it. Maybe it will sound good through a tube amp. I like your real 5150 recordings.
This pedal was a disappointment. Sounds like loose rubbish...

Don’t like this pedal at all. I can’t believe people are raving about this thing.
Definitely not as nice as the fractal 5150 models….. or the helix.
Sounds awful...not Euges fault😮
We need another one.Why not?
