Chad Peterson I was pissed when he wasn’t in the main roster for 11 and even though he was a downloadable character that wasn’t a guarantee he’d have a story or one that was canon. Luckily the Aftermath story let him take the spotlight and Cary did it to perfection
See that’s prof right there Shang Tsung is more powerful of what we are seeing in the game I wish they made him more deadly in mk games but I do must say I enjoyed mk aftermath bc the fear of Shang Tsung even got a Titan attention so boom my boy Shang Tsung is one tough and smart and witty sob.
We technically don't know that. Since there's no MK12 yet we don't know what ending they'll go with. Before Aftermath everyone assumed the Kitana ending was the canon one since it was the "best" ending. But they went with the neutral Raiden one.
@@GamerThumbTV Having him as the new big bad and having all of our hero's gone could be a very interesting "Empire Strikes Back" thing were the next story has the underdogs fighting against a seemingly impossible enemy for sure
Yeah that's not a bad idea since the crown was infused with quite a large portion of Shang Tsung's absorbed souls and since he created it so it would make sense for him to use the crown as a horcrux like item especially since nobody can risk destroying it or else the Hourglass can't be properly used
Shang tsung ending more likely, since lui kang only absorbed his future self and raiden, but shang tsung absorbed shao kahn, sindel, raiden, figin, cronica(and indirect cetrion to), he should be far more powerfull
Only hole I can find in any Shang Tsung lore is in mortal kombat deception there's a side quest in the beginning of the konquest mode when you first talk to Bo RI Cho then some of the female townspeople you find out that he refuses to enter the tournament because he was born in outworld he would fight for outworld but wouldn't that also apply to Shang Tsung since he was originally born in earthrealm? There's probably a good explanation that I'm completely unaware of
Yes, you are correct. The rules of the tournament have never been fleshed out in any real way lol. The best explanation I can think of is that Shang Tsung was considered the host of the tournament so I guess he chooses his side?
Liu Kang is the son of onaga. Cetrion gave it away when she says to Kang that he wields the flame of onaga. Liu Kang responded by saying he's not related to the dragon king. Cetrion then tells him that mortals are always so self assured. Liu Kang is an orphan raised by monks and never knew his true parentage. Kang can transform into a dragon and uses dragon fire. Could it be that onaga had sex with a Chinese woman and Liu Kang is their offspring? Lol
You can take that statement in different ways. Personally, I hate the idea that he's descended from Onaga. I don't feel it's really necessary. Like you said, did a dragon sleep with a human woman lol? Then again, maybe Onaga's original form was human?
@@GamerThumbTV And it would also answer the question as to why liu kang is so strong defeating shao Kahn multiple times. Kahn feared onaga and had to use poison to defeat him. Lol
Ancient lizard dna people shapeshifters, wow USA has sure changed in its ways since then, or just the marketing and processes of victories for the people who want a conflict resolution, or has it?
You think it's possible that shang tsung use to be Earthrealm's champion before he went rogue and joined shao kahn(outworld)imagine if Shang's life was a mirroring to liu kang's
They basically retconned her origin. Here's how I see it. MK9 ending is clearly non canon. And Evil Sindel was a result of Raiden messing with time since ripples seemed to make small changes everywhere. Also, I prefer classic good Sindel.
GamerThumbTV Yeah Shao Kahn can be arrogant, but he wasn’t stupid (At least not in the original timeline). He knew to make plans and contingencies. This Shao Kahn is so dumb he admitted he lied to Kitana and didn’t think Shang Tsung would betray him.

@@TheMan-je5xq Shang Tsung is in my top 5 alongside Shao Kahn, Scorpion, Sub Zero, and Shinnok
Chad Peterson I was pissed when he wasn’t in the main roster for 11 and even though he was a downloadable character that wasn’t a guarantee he’d have a story or one that was canon. Luckily the Aftermath story let him take the spotlight and Cary did it to perfection
@@TheMan-je5xq in my opinion he's also the most evil character in Mortal Kombat
If mortal kombat has taught me anything it's that you can't trust sorcerers
Especially the ones that claim to be on your side lol.
I'm always aware of not trusting sorcerers. But eventually, do I trust anyone?
I saw Mortal Kombat 11 Aftermath and I Liked the Story it was Pretty Good. I Hope Shang Tsung is not Gone for Good.
He'll be back for sure at some point. He always has backup plan after backup plan it seems haha
That’s my problem with it cause it seems by Liu Kang’s ending he’s not only dead but erased completely.
I guess we'll see depending on what MK12 does.
This is video games no key villain really stays dead
At 6:08
Thats the same guy who played baraka in mk 2
See that’s prof right there Shang Tsung is more powerful of what we are seeing in the game I wish they made him more deadly in mk games but I do must say I enjoyed mk aftermath bc the fear of Shang Tsung even got a Titan attention so boom my boy Shang Tsung is one tough and smart and witty sob.
"IT COULD BE THE END OF DARKNESS" Quan cheesy at it again
I didn't even realize they modeled young tsung after the actor I found it odd that when everyone had that updated look his felt the most realistic.
Excellent move using the original movie actor.
Emperor Onaga!!!
Shao Kahn: not anymore
The ending where Liu Kang wins in aftermath is canon. If you remember correctly, Liu Kang defeated Kronika even though she had to crown.
We technically don't know that. Since there's no MK12 yet we don't know what ending they'll go with. Before Aftermath everyone assumed the Kitana ending was the canon one since it was the "best" ending. But they went with the neutral Raiden one.
GamerThumbTV I see.
29:12 Best Mileena
I kind of hope that Shang Tsung's ending is the one that they use, going forward. I think they could do some interesting things in this new timeline.
Interesting things with most of the cast being dead.
They cant shang would just see in the hourglass who would overthrow him or kill him he could just erase them from existence or make them serve him
I was just about to ask you to do this.
Anyone else think a piece of Shang Tsung's soul is within the crown, like some kind of MK Horcrux?
Hmm...could be a theory they use later. OR they could go with the bad ending and have him be the next huge villain, and god powered.
@@GamerThumbTV Having him as the new big bad and having all of our hero's gone could be a very interesting "Empire Strikes Back" thing were the next story has the underdogs fighting against a seemingly impossible enemy for sure
Although, didn't they kinda already do that with MK9 -> MKX?
This is so fucking dope G.
Thanks for checking it out.
As they say in Cowboy Bebop a snake cannot eat a dragon. Though that doesn't apply to Shang Tsung.
Kenshi my boy R.I.P.
Imgine having shangs power it be kinda whack gotts fiest on souls to survive but grants u eminence power
Kintaro?! How much you wanna bet he’ll be another DLC character? 1:28
I wouldn't mind. I'd like him to play very different from Sheeva
GamerThumbTV me too
Ladies and Gentlemen today's lesson, never trust Shang Tsung "EVER" ☣️
The ultimate snake
His MK11 Aftermath ending is most likely non-canon? I don't know, people would say that about Shao Kahn:s Armageddon ending back in the day...
Lol
@@GamerThumbTV me personally Lui Kang may be DISTANTLY related to Onaga since Lui Kang has somethings linked to Onaga except his evil tendencies
Ancient lizard dna people shapeshifters, wow USA has sure changed in its ways since then, or just the marketing and processes of victories for the people who want a conflict resolution, or has it?
I loved aftermath just because of this character and what he was able to accomplish. However, it was a bit predictable too
Oh yea, everyone knew Shang Tsung was up to some shenanigans lol
@@GamerThumbTV but that didn't stop him
@@chadpeterson5698 true, but only because Liu Kang allowed it
@@GamerThumbTV I also like how Shang Tsung was so powerful that he could actually win against Lui Kang.
You think it's possible that shang tsung use to be Earthrealm's champion before he went rogue and joined shao kahn(outworld)imagine if Shang's life was a mirroring to liu kang's
nah, once a scumbag always a scumbag. Can't imagine Shang Tsung ever having the role of hero.
@@GamerThumbTV it would've been interesting tho...
Shang is my favourite mk villain
He's also the most evil MK villain
Keep in mind, the kid show of mortal combat was based on events of the 1990s mk movies, so make of what you will.
I like to think the Shang Tsung ending is the likely ending.
I hope Liu Kang's is because seeing the original Kung Lao is awesome. But I'd be ok with either one
@@GamerThumbTV that...made me really happy you yourself replied to me. Thank you.
As bad as it may be I'm lowkey hoping both endings are to an extent
@@scootybooty1363 with how Kronika was looking inside multiple timelines it's possible that ALL of the character endings in Mortal Kombat are canon
so what are youre opinions on sindel being evil ? (i found it very dumb since her ending in mk9 had her "free from shao khan control")
They basically retconned her origin. Here's how I see it. MK9 ending is clearly non canon. And Evil Sindel was a result of Raiden messing with time since ripples seemed to make small changes everywhere. Also, I prefer classic good Sindel.
@@GamerThumbTV yeah I can get behind that
2:38... WTF happened to Lobo??
What background song are you using starting at 15:57 ??
Was the guy on the spike trap the guy from the krypt?
Yep! Cool little cameo. There were fan theories he was a young Shang Tsung. That kinda killed that theory.
It was stupid of Shao Kahn to reveal he lied to Kitana about her parents. Why not have Kitana brainwahed to believe Mileena is her sister.
He did exactly that in the original timeline. And Shao Kahn's ultimate downfall is that he always thinks he's untouchable.
@@KingNazaru he was turned from MK Ganondorf to MK Bowser
Didn't Onaga fly off with Shao?
He definitely did lol. At some point he must've beaten Onaga and made his way back.
