Based on my research so far, it seems that beginner ecologists conduct a very large amount of bat surveys, especially if they are employed seasonally. How long would you say it takes for someone in that position to start undertaking a more diverse array of surveys? GCN, phase 1 habitat, reptiles, badgers, water vole, etc.
