I can't believe this. I remember listening to this guys music way back in 2013 when I was in middle school and loved it so much. I came back after learning about the new mlp movie coming out soon and I was just going through some of my fav videos that came out of the fandom back then. I remembered Melodicpony and well, now I'm here. His music is still so wonderful to listen too and i'm going to miss him dearly.

MelodicPony, the creator of absolutely stunning orchestral pony pieces since 2012, has passed away from an alleged stroke at the age of 27 . While starting as a rumor on one of his videos, I was able to contact the good folks of Czequestria (since Melodic lived in Prague) who confirmed through a friend of Melodic's that he had indeed died. While he was only able to share with us a brief glimpse of his amazing musical talent, his works will be remembered and may he rest in peace. Wow, I'm almost at a loss for words. What a beautiful yet peaceful track filled hope and optimism for the future. I think you captured the true meaning of the night in this one. In my mind you mirrored Princess Luna's inner self very well. This is very well composed very inspirational indeed. When I listen to it, I hear and feel such raw emotion. When I first joined the fandom in 2014, this was the first Brony Composer I came across. I was still struck how a girl's show inspired this. I was listening to his music everyday that year, and was requesting his songs in the final months of Everfree Radio. I was waiting for two years for more when that happened. RIP MelodicPony, the first and one of the greatest short-lived runners of all time. Just one final goodbye...
I'm sad that I discovered his work this late since his passing. However, his musical projects are loved very well by many to this day as far as I see. May he rest well among the clouds and stars with Luna watching over him.
So short was his time composing, In this Melodic's sixth and final piece you can hear and feel the thought, love, care and effort he put into this Orchestral Instrumental. The liner notes he left tell his love for the fandom and his art. A shinning tribute to Melodic was paid him by Minty Root who's PMV set to this Orchestral shows the depth of love for him and his work as a fellow creator. Had he lived longer, what wonders we would enjoy along with these six incomparable jewels we have. A true virtuoso, rest in peace sweet prince you've found your eternal Equestria.

Incredible composition, remarkably touching. Songs like this are encountered seldom but captivates its audience like the sweet ring of their own name. As if you called to the secret name inside their soul.
Your stuff always sounds so clean and balanced; I really do like what you've got going here, since I can't detect a point where anything transitions poorly. Like, at all. It's a very smooth flow, but I sort of wish there were more dynamics in this song, more periods of rest. I'd chalk it up to a personal preference, but I can't think of anything wrong with the rest; it's fantastic. The mixing is what gets me the most; everything has a clear voice and I freaking love it. Looking forward to your next one.

Yellowstone The Pony Okay, here's a hard one. Robert Stephenson designed and built a locomotive which won the Rainhill Trials in 1829. What was the name and wheel configuration of this locomotive?
I don't want to downplay this music. Like, at all. This brought me to tears, with the whole story surrounding its creator. I just wanted to point out why the passage at 3:16 works so well for me. It is the same progression as the one that can be found in "Demise of the ritual", from the OST of the game Shadow of the Colossus (at 1: 22 in the music precisely). Many people have already saluted the work done on the OST of the game, and I find it particularly moving to find it here. I'm not accusing Melodic of plagiarism, at all. I'm just saying how incredible of a composer he was for having that same progression, and use it over and over in such different ways, whereas Demise of the Ritual only uses it once and the fusic more or less fades, changing for the purpose of a cinematic. To my ear, it was like someone had took a music I've known for 20 years, and managed to "finish it" without the constrain of a game.
To see that this man had passed away and I had just discovered him about two weeks ago makes me sad... Rest in peace melodicpony I bet you found your equestria

When I first joined the fandom in 2014, this was the first Brony Composer I came across. I was still struck how a girl's show inspired this. I was listening to his music everyday that year, and was requesting his songs in the final months of Everfree Radio. I was waiting for two years for more when that happened.

I'm sad that I discovered his work this late since his passing. However, his musical projects are loved very well by many to this day as far as I see. May he rest well among the clouds and stars with Luna watching over him.
So short was his time composing, In this Melodic's sixth and final piece you can hear and feel the thought, love, care and effort he put into this Orchestral Instrumental. The liner notes he left tell his love for the fandom and his art. A shinning tribute to Melodic was paid him by Minty Root who's PMV set to this Orchestral shows the depth of love for him and his work as a fellow creator. Had he lived longer, what wonders we would enjoy along with these six incomparable jewels we have. A true virtuoso, rest in peace sweet prince you've found your eternal Equestria.

Your stuff always sounds so clean and balanced; I really do like what you've got going here, since I can't detect a point where anything transitions poorly.

It's a very smooth flow, but I sort of wish there were more dynamics in this song, more periods of rest.
I'd chalk it up to a personal preference, but I can't think of anything wrong with the rest; it's fantastic.

My dog went to heaven last year and I miss her. Melodic hearing your music let's me know she is happy and hope all dogs listen to your amazing music too up there. You brought joy to many just by making art of music in which you loved. But, I wish many could've heard more of your new songs but were blessed to have your channel alive and well to keep listening to your music.

I don't want to downplay this music. Like, at all. This brought me to tears, with the whole story surrounding its creator.
I just wanted to point out why the passage at 3:16 works so well for me. It is the same progression as the one that can be found in "Demise of the ritual", from the OST of the game Shadow of the Colossus (at 1: 22 in the music precisely). Many people have already saluted the work done on the OST of the game, and I find it particularly moving to find it here.
I'm not accusing Melodic of plagiarism, at all. I'm just saying how incredible of a composer he was for having that same progression, and use it over and over in such different ways, whereas Demise of the Ritual only uses it once and the fusic more or less fades, changing for the purpose of a cinematic.
To my ear, it was like someone had took a music I've known for 20 years, and managed to "finish it" without the constrain of a game.
