Victoria Castle, a geology major in the College of Arts and Sciences at Stony Brook University, is a 2023 Velay Fellow. Her project, “Sediments as an archive of time, environment, and human presence: a micro-regional study of the Pleistocene-Holocene transition in southern Poland” is under the mentorship of Marine Frouin, Department of Geosciences.
