All three turned out so gorgeous! I'd love to see more cards on black. Rainbow with black is one of the prettiest things, in my opinion, so it would be awesome if you could incorporate a rainbow into one of them!
Dear Natasha, what is a Distress Oxide ink? Papercrafting became a small, but rapidly growing part of my life, making scrapbooks. As my rheumatism worsened (a form that mainly affects my spine and larger joints, the projects became too energy and time consuming. In 2020 I started cardmaking by using stamps and dies, inspired by Pinterest leading me to Stampin' Up!. Now, by watching many YT videos, I know that the world is bigger than SU lol!I LOVE watching you create and your creations!!!
Hi Ineke, it's great to read that paper crafting on a smaller scale helps you in expressing your creativity despite of your limitations. I agree with you 100% that watching Natasha is just so inspiring. You were asking about Distress Oxide inks. You can of course research this easily online and you will find it's a brand product, but there's more to it than just another brand of ink pads. It's a hybrid ink that is "water reactive", so it won't just dissolve, it'll create patterns when it gets in contact with water. But what I personally like most about it - and that may be relevant to you - is that it is creamy and easy to apply with a brush or sponge to create backgrounds with very little pressure, resulting in a texture something between chalk and regular ink. They're not the best choice for stamping, so to try these out, you could even go and just buy a re-inker or two and use the color from an acrylic block. Hope that helps!
Yes please do another video! Did you ever have to ask? I would love to see anything that you want to show me. You know I love you and your designs. So yes please anytime. Thanks Natasha the cards are so beautiful. Great ideas. Love and hugs from Australia ❤️❤️🐨❤️❤️. 🙌👐
I really liked the first one -- but then you gave us the elegant second one. My least favorite was the last -- but it started wheels turning. Yes, please, more dark ground ideas -- you always deliver!
I an a big fan of black for card making. Many times when when I'm in a needful a quick card, black is the color I tend to gravitate to. Like the cards you made. Very pretty.
Fabulous black based cards Natasha. I don't ever think to use black and yet they are very striking. I absolutely love black and white together as well. Thank you Natasha 😊
I love the idea of having the black in the forefront rather than always having so much framed in black. You are always showing me not to overlook the obvious! Simple & elegant. Thank you!! 💐
Always a joy to see what you come up with!! I have been ink blending on dark cardstock lately and love it!! It's a nice change from white, plus unlike you, I seem to have amassed a large quantity of black and navy cardstock!! More darkstock ideas please! I think the 3rd one here was my favourite today though, nice dimension and that subtle pop of colour!
Love your videos especially being short. I would like to see more ideas for both black and Kraft card bases. Thanks for all your hard work in sharing your ideas.
Thank you so much Natasha, I really really enjoyed watching you create these amazing and awesome cards. Such clever ideas, and everything about says WOW 🤩 WOW 🤩 WOW 🤩. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Well, this has definitely changed my mind about buying black card bases! These are wonderful examples and show how the contrasts add to the beauty. Yes! Please post more on using dark card bases!!! Thanks! 🤗👍💖
Natasha, I love your videos. You have such great techniques and I learn so much. Your voice is so soothing and welcoming! Thank you for all you do. 💕💕💕
Great ideas, and yes I think more dark cardstock videos would be a great idea as well! I like multiple cards in one video, I can keep up with everything easily and get more inspiration to boot. 😉🥰
I never really considered using black on my cards but you've shown me it can be done quite nicely. Now to use up my black paper. Thanks again for such creative ideas.
These are so cute . I will have to do something like these. 👍 I haven't really made cards since Bob went to heaven. It was 5 1/2 years ago. But watching this makes want to start again. When I went to cardclass and I got home. My amazing Husband gotta choose the card he wanted first. Then I could theothers away. What was surprising he would pick sometimes the ones with flowers
Absolutely stunning and I wish I could make cards that quick😉. Yes please more on dark card stock. Not that I have any but like to mix things up a bit. Quite amazing that you come up with all these ideas👏👏😍
Thanks Natasha for the great inspiration for using black card. Those are really good results!! I will definitely be trying those ideas with my black stash!!! Once again a very useful tutorial. Thanks and blessings.🤗🤗🤗🙋♀️
Lovely video Natasha. Love all three cards, but my favourite is the first one. I too would like to see you do cards using dark cardstock. Thanks for sharing.
I really like these cards. Especially the last one that is pretty much all black & white. I always feel like my images have to be colored in. It’s easy to forget that we can make an elegant card by just keeping it simple. All of the cards you made are very lovely. Thanks Natasha!
I would love to see more cards with dark backgrounds. I really like your habit of embossing the stamped image to make colouring neater. Thank you for your beautiful card ideas and for getting the best use of whatever you have on hand.
As Barbara said, you always deliver. And at such a rate - so many new videos, it's hard to keep up! I had to laugh at seeing the title of the video - I watch Gina K.'s videos regularly, too - and for her, hardly any card can go without at least a black matting! I guess a lot of crafters shy away from black cards - or rather black, white and grey cards - as they may come over as berievement cards. I have totally embraced black as a background to show off autumn colors, white papercuts, and a lot of "male"-tagged motifs (engines, cars, etc.). I have to say that the first card - even though I love that stamp - looks really oldfashioned to me. I smell brandy chocolates. But I love the technique - I will simply choose a different stamp. The second one - you know, I also bought a selection of pastes and I don't really like working with them. But it looks GORGEOUS! My favorite is no. 3 - "reversed papercut" with a touch of last century hand photo coloring, I really LOVE it.
Hi Natasha. Yes please, keep the black card front videos coming. I will never complain about a longer video from you if you did create one. I loved all three cards that you created. TFS. 🤗🤍🖤
