I've been a fan of Faith No More since the real thing. I had just turned 18. Of course "Falling to Pieces" is what persuaded me to buy the album. Primarily, Mike Patton (or that unreasonably attractive dude, as I referred to him then and his ability, in that particular video, to express his absolute lunacy. Not to mention the music... Once I got it, I then discovered "The Real Thing", "Zombie Eaters" and "Edge of the World". And... All I could think was man this dude can "sang"! Had I listened to my significant other, 20 yrs ago, who stated he preferred Mr. Bungle, I would have enjoyed the fabulous, absolute insanity of them. So...last year, I broke through that barrier. I'm totally disappointed in myself. But please to experience them now.
Cant say enuff about THE best band I EVER live seen with me own eyes... 4 incredible times... NOBODY can touch them.... MAYBE Frank Zappa....just maybe... totally in a class by themselves... God Bless Em'
I saw these guys around this time. I remember they opened with the vocal version of the Twin Peaks theme. I also remember that they did songs that I heard on Dr Demento in the late 70s. It was a strange night. I enjoyed it.
Thanks for posting this...one of my fave Demento toons, as done by one of my all-time fave bands (too bad I didn't get to see them live before their implosion)
what a wonderful performance! never heard this song before and didnt understand the lyrics (i'm not quite well in english) but the music is so amazing! lucky you...
@80selectro I liked your fucking comment OK? I really like this part, and I was dissapointed that YOU posted it before I did but awesome, regardless good taste 4 dayz. what ees eet
As good as the original by Tom "T-Bone" Stankus. Love Mr. Bungle and even Faith No More. Just to explain to other Commenters; Dr. Demento was a radio show host, not an "artist." On his radio show, he did interviews, backgrounds on artists, introduced upcoming songs, and basically ran the whole show.
Course i was lookin T Bone up first...Then right below him-this-of course Patton is fitting to do this tune hahahaha. Ahh thinking of Dr. Demento brings me back.
Did a bit of Roadie work for FNM + Helmet in 91/92 ... this woulda been so much more fun than that stupid fisting BS we had to listen to while setting up
i used to record every Dr Demento then later i recorded every FNM, Bungle bootleg now, this!!! fark me if i didn't spot Gibs there for a sec hey, you, guyyyyyys! Gibby, Patton, Buzzo. eh?! EH?! maybe, if budget permits, a spot from Claypool? in a pig mask
This helped shape my poorly molded youth. Amazing stuff

Finding this was amazing. Mr. Bungle performing Stankus' "Existential Blues" (with "Pencil Neck Geek" interlude) is like the holy grail.
An epic band covering an epic obscure song! Thank you for uploading this!
trey's face kills me
It's the perfect expression of pure irritation and annoyance.
"Mike leave that poor girl alone and start the fucking song"
Perfect band to cover this song.
HOLY CRAP!!! Treys face at exactly 0:42..fucking classic!!! hahaha He looks so pissed about something!
This video helped get me into Mr Bungle. I remember lesser known metal bands on youtube and being sent to this exact video.

"weeeeeeeeeeeeell i get a little bit tired of ..SHUT UP.." Hahaha xD
Pretty amazing-the rest of the show is OK but this is pretty darn cool
Very respectable version of this song, true to the original with a fantastic punkishness. The pencil-neck-geek part could have been dropped, tho.
fucking awesome song

Are you from an MC Hammer video by any chance?
Greatest band ever, F the red hot chilli peppers.

It defies credulity that these guys claim no influence from and very little knowledge of FZ in the early days.
That yellow brick road was renamed MLK Jr Blvd
i used to record every Dr Demento
