I always thought he was a fun concept for a villain, what with the tentacles that writhe around and can do basically anything. Plus, "Doctor Octopus"! I mean how can you not love that?
@@curtisleblanc5897 If we consider Venom a Villain, Yes indeed, I totally agree. The problem is that in later versions is more like an anti-hero, and many times an Ally, so in that case it remains Goblin at the Top and Octopus as 2nd.

To be fair I think most people agree that he is Spider-Mans smartest foe and thus the biggest intellectual threat.
He takes a well earned 2nd place to me.
They developed this "Equal Rivalry" where one tries to outsmart the other, being the two both geniuses.
