No, you can't take the test that quickly and you don't need to. It's for getting a permanent residency OR German citizenship. You do it either after a orientation course or any time before applying for permanent residency or citizenship. You don't need to do it otherwise, you can still renew temporary residence permits or get a permanent residence permit through other means. The new, upcoming law will make easier, reduce requirements
