As you can see the SIG552 with silencer has an additional "commando"-feature. It automatically applies night time dark grey camo paint on you face ;) Using silencer thows all snot into shooters face. Sig552 is "hella laud!" (much lauder than AR) but using silencer kind of defeats the whole point of SIG55x = reliability = gas piston that prevents smoke from fouling the bolt. "I have this airsoft gun too", except mine uses 5.56N FMJ "pellets" and is powered by gunpowder.
It says right in the description that he's using supersonic rounds. It doesn't sound like subs anyway. you can still hear a crack. It's so quiet because I think he also said that he was using it wet. BTW, 5.56's aren't low velocity rounds either. They travel at about 3600fps....or in and around that area, I forget, and I don't have a box around at the moment. ;) I do know that the sound barrier is 1116fps, so you do the math.
nope. if you listen closely you can hear the hiss of the bullet breaking the sound barrier. besides, low velocity ammunition wouldn't cycle the action. another benefit of a suppressor is it cuts out some of the recoil.
Not 100% sure but sounds like they're using low velocity round. Takes away the sonic bang from when the round breaks the soundbarrier. But as I said, not sure.
They may be using supersonic rounds but its still really quiet. You here a whisper sound like that and you think "WTF?" and then all of a sudden you're dead.
Any operator working thru socom can use any of the approved weapons, I'd have to ask my buddy but i would imagine that a rifle of that quality is on the list, and don't take a movie into account.
@hcbstrd NEGATIVE! None of the SEALS or U.S. Spec-ops type units use the 552. That was originally started by Tokyo Mauri on their box for marketing their airsoft version of the gun. The SEALS still use a Colt M4 and the only other SOCOM weapon being used is the HK-416 by Delta. If you can find a pic of SOCOM troopers ever using them, I'll give you a cookie.
its amazing how quiet the suppressors can be, almost sounds like a airsoft gun.
cool, my fav gun
i want one of those
WOW...so silent....I wonder how it sounds firing sub-sonic rounds.
I AGREE~~!! I HAVE THIS AIRSOFT GUN TOO
@hcbstrd Yup and there's an interview I saw back in the day where a SEAL said his favorite field weapon is the 552.
The 552 along with the G36 are weapons I would give my right nut to own. Both of those weapons are some of the best assault rifles to date.

yes, multiple special forces use the sig 55x series... seals, gsg9, some french forces ect, and of cause swiss forces ;)
that is surprisingly quiet, even for a gun with a suppressor, considering it is using supersonic ammunition.
@Crim15 hi , could you tell me what's the difference between silencer and a wet silencer.???
Hey how much do SIG 552's run for the semi+auto trigger pack ? Thanks
AS50, MP7, M14EBR?
doesnt sound standard to me.
Yeah. I get what you mean. You usually see them with the M4s and the SOPMOD kit.

dude he was kidding! He even said that his gun used 5.56 mm FMJ ammunition!!!
