the historical significance of this video
I don't get why so many people are surprised about the mention of ponies. The song is LITERALLY BASED OFF OF A QUOTE FROM THE SHOW. It's from a completely different fandom, you commoners wouldn't understand. (Okay, kidding about the commoners part, but WAY too many people are surprised about this.)
A lot of MLP fansongs are like that, featuring super high production quality you'd never expect a fansong to have. That's why this fandom, despite all the annoying ponifications over the years, still deserves some respect.
