41:05 UPSC allows aspirants to choose language - hindi, english or any other specified language, for written papers as well as interviews. the assigned panel knows those languages, of course.

Interview Panel is Same for both Hindi and English medium . Since the Panel already has total information about the candidate they decide it accordingly or sometimes they ask the candidate which language they are comfortable.
I managed to clear prelims but failed mains , those were golden days ❤
