Yes. I could literally see the hopelessness on his face. This poor fellow maybe had a couple of months left to live. He just wanted a moment without pain.
I was caught in an undercover sting once. My friends and I were walking home from the bar around midnight and we passed a woman, she smiled and we said “hello”, a couple of us were carrying open alcohol. The woman kept walking and so did we, suddenly two uniformed officers approached us and i set down my open beer, we all turned to hide the beers but the woman had circled around and pinched us between the uniforms, she was undercover! They explained to us that the park was closed to the public from 11pm until 7am. Yep, a 3 officer sting operation for people walking through a public park. Some real Serpico shit.
If I had to guess, I would guess that the police had a different reason to be there. "i.e. vandalism at night in park, attacks in the park at night, drug deals at night" But only really kicked you guys out because it was obvious you were just drunk pedestrians walking home.
It's to show they mean business & to COMPLY fr the very start. Ur not a goodwill ambassador, ur a COP abt to take a 'bad' guy down. It's a dangerous profession. Body language & the tone of voice means everything in these situations. U need to understand this is why they're so reasonably aggressive at the get go. They hafta be.
Awww man...that poor dog 🐕! PSA:...Don't take anyone with you when you go to buy drugs...even your pet(s) because apparently they're the ones who suffer for you buying 10 bucks worth of fake pot 😂
Stinging low level drug users isn't really an effective way to combat drug use. Making poor people pay a bunch of money is actually more likely to push them into more drug use than it is to keep them away from it.
It has its place. So called low level drug users don't stay low level, but, get into other mischief. Setting up sting buys in particular neighborhoods has benefits as seen in this video -- a lot of White folks drive into areas of town for quick buys thereby keeping the problem going. Once word gets out in White areas of town, particularly university campus and housing, that a buy can ruin your college dreams, the market moves or disappears.
Absolutely agree. I am a recovering addict. I went to Prison (I'm telling you the full truth) for a half of an oxycontin and a rolled up dollar bill found on the bottom of my purse. I had no prior convictions. The Prosecutor was pissed because II refused to turn in one of my friends.
Yes but stinging low level drug users is probably not their intention if you get a low level drug dealer to talk and say Make a deal we won't charge you with anything if you give us the big fish Is why they go after the low level drug users it's not about making poor people pay a bunch of money I mean it is obviously but their main intention is to go after the big fish and in order to do that they need to have a way in. If you've ever seen someone maybe going through heroin withdrawal and there option is to go through heroin withdrawal in the county jail or to get out that same day and agree to make or help the police in getting the real dealers you know the ones that are bringing in the weight. What do you think that these low level drug users are going to do? That is why the police go after these poor people and punish them and make them pay money fines maybe a little jail time or probation or whatever make their lives even more difficult than their lives already are is for one reason and one reason only it is to try to convince them to give up their dealer and then if that goes well and they catch that dealer then they'll take it up the chain and it's not so low level anymore. That is how police get to move up in the ranks and pay grades. All while letting the public see all the big huge arrests that they have made and have cracked down on this or that. I do see the police having a point in doing this but I promise this I don't care if they did this 50 to 100 times a day there will always be somebody else right there within literally minutes to take that person's spot in this game. So it is absolutely a war that will never be won !! It is a deterrent but again it's so much time and money that yes our taxes pay and we should absolutely reevaluate this whole entire thing and let's see where it is beneficial and if it is even beneficial too figure out in let's say one year add up all of the time and money spent on these raids are surveillance and see exactly what it does cost and then taking the for account that one person that they do get off the street okay it's a lot of stuff that they were able to seize. But is it really making a difference? Or is it just an ongoing never ending non-stop waste of money. I mean it's always been around people have used drugs since the beginning of time whether it was the Egyptians using drugs to enhance or enlighten their minds or the Asians who would pop up opium dens. Or I don't know maybe the American Indians smoking some weed through their pipes. The government should be thinking more along the lines of how do we make money from this instead of it costing us money. Maybe legalize It and or tax it the money from the taxing of those things alone would probably help our schools and if spent correctly could make a lot of homes for a lot of Americans who are homeless and a lot of the homeless are there in that situation because of drugs and the costs the money that takes to keep up that drug habit so it is very mind-boggling that we can literally send someone to the freaking Moon or come up with all of these amazing things cloning people the DNA that we can use and it's just amazing how far we have come. So it's so hard for me to believe that something like this can't be looked into and maybe find some type of solution of course I don't mean overnight and of course it may take some trial and error but I know we are smart enough to turn this horrific nightmare of meth heroin cocaine and even alcoholics who are all fighting there own addictions . This entire thing is just so unacceptable there are just too many ways to help the situation.

Btw, I grew up in Tampa, lived the majority of my teenage life in Tampa, and I had cancer while I was 16 and 17, and I was always SO sick during my chemotherapy treatments. I never bought weed on a street corner (because I'm not stupid), but smoking weed was the ONLY thing that ever got me to eat after I lost 93 lbs in my first 30 days of chemo. While I will agree that it's an illegal substance (nowadays if you DON'T have a medical card), I can't agree with police arresting and destroying people's lives over a dime bag. I understand that the majority of these people who would buy drugs from someone on a street corner is an outsider or someone who's really desperate, but even when I was desperate for weed to make me eat, I would've never stopped on a street corner. It's just sad that no matter what the reason is that the police were so hungry for an arrest that they would've screwed the guy who was literally dying from cancer for no other reason than to make an arrest. That's truly sad. If I were a cop (and I really wanted to be), I could've never have placed than man under arrest, but when it's on camera and nationwide coverage I suppose they need to prove that they're always willing to screw even the most innocent of people to serve and protect...sheesh...
Hey there, I am glad you are still with us. I hope you are doing well. I have a medical card here in NY state, but we don't need them anymore. I have so much pain that I am on opioids and I HATE taking them! I make a tincture from pot to put under my tongue or I make canna-butter or canna-oil to cook with. I do not smoke anything, anymore. The sting operations r so cool , what's so pathetic is the arrest for crack!!!
27:00, did that guy really say I'm a addict talking about pot 😂 🤣 Then the cop actually asks him if he's going to need help getting off of it. Like it's heroin or something 😂
He was obviously being sarcastic.
This is crazy!!!! These people getting arrested and treated like hardened criminals but a tiny bit of bud!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I'm 41 and it's always been mind boggling to me to see people going down for cannabis.....A shame. It helps so many people.
It had nothing to do with bud. they were out there confiscating cars. It's not about public safety. It's about $$$$
@@granitebeast Even in the other marijuana buy bust segment where a suspect drives backwards into an unmarked police car?
@@Doobie1975 Enuff said! 'Doob'ie. (Flower child here.)

It had EVERYRTHING to do with bud!
It was the pretense / fulcrum / basis / foundation / grounds for the entire stop.
If it wasn’t for the bud nothing after it would have occurred.
But for the bud, the person would not have been violated.
What’s equally mind boggling is comments like yours! Respectfully.
@Tyson Simmons nobody cares if some punks sell some reefer. Literally no one. Cops just saw easy felony cases and free cars.
This is making people go deeper into addiction 😊
'CUZ ITS OURS, NOT YOURS' 😉
No but I’d like to smoke a joint. That was Gold 😂
The ice cream truck driving by playing music took me out!! It was the perfect music to go with the drug bust
The “it’s party time” signal would spook me every time, that dude was right to be scared, and nobody but a cop saying “where’s the dope?” DAMN!
The only one I felt sorry for was the older guy at 31:00 who was literally diagnosed with lung cancer and was dying. Having a morphine pump embedded under your skin is proof he is just trying to escape whatever pain he is/was in. Like with all drugs, the morphine will be less effective as the body develops resistance. I wish they only cited and released him; all the others, need to take the ride!
I feel worse for the dog. Going to the pound in most places is a death sentence for animals and it seemed like a very good boy.
@billsmith9249 That was heartbreaking!
Really? You think people should go to jail and have their car seized for two joints worth of weed? lol damn!
@@kspnomodz5062 personally? No, but that is the law where they are at. If you don't like the punishment's (or the laws) on the books, there are ways to fight them legally, through legislation; which is what our country is founded upon (the method). Once you start saying you don't agree (or will follow) a law, then why should anyone follow a law? You may not think pot is a bad drug, but what if I don't think crack is bad, or murder is bad? If you can cherry pick the laws you agree with and follow then why can't the next person? Then, before you know it, there is anarchy and people do whatever they want to whomever......
Yes. I could literally see the hopelessness on his face. This poor fellow maybe had a couple of months left to live.
He just wanted a moment without pain.
Great job, Guys. You took a lot of real hardened criminals off the streets.
Next they will go after jaywalkers
Does I detect a tiny bit of sarcasm here?
Do they even do stuff like this anymore? I feel like all these prostitution stings are so old-school. It seems like a waste of resources.

Sucks they have to get aggressive over someone purchasing a small amount of weed.
@@Anthony-qy6ml I never see them act this aggressive in the other marijuana buy bust stings.
Awww man...that poor dog 🐕!

That is not your stuff! Don’t take it out of my car. Lay on your belly 😂
I couldn't agree with u more
Absolutely agree. I am a recovering addict. I went to Prison (I'm telling you the full truth) for a half of an oxycontin and a rolled up dollar bill found on the bottom of my purse.
I had no prior convictions. The Prosecutor was pissed because II refused to turn in one of my friends.
Very true

27:38 He didn’t need to roast on that man like that. I’m dead asl 💀💀
Weed is now fully legal in NY state and there are now dispensaries for recreational use. I don't know what I would do with my chronic pain without pot these days. I have so much pain that I am on opioids and I HATE taking them! I make a tincture from pot to put under my tongue or I make canna-butter or canna-oil to cook with. I do not smoke anything, anymore. Ingesting the THC is better, stronger and longer lasting than smoking it.
